You'd think all you "MK is so great" people would be here praising the company and telling us how much money you're making. But I guess you're just so busy booking those classes you just don't have time. You'd think our friend Bill the lawyer with the mega-successful sister who can't speak for herself would be here debating everyone since he so loves to debate and tell everyone how stupid they are. *sigh*

Oh prdiva4 - ;D - that's hilarious!
And probably true! It is the beginning of a new Seminar year - they have to get their goals set and start out strong. . . ooh, I almost couldn't type that without throwing up a little.

I hope they'll look through Amazon for the "perfect dictionary" while they're at it. One with big letters and bright colorful pictures. ;D

And is funny because they make million dollars goals for the year and then they talk about how you need to be a WOMAN OF YOUR WORD and then half way through the year they change the goal to something smaller because they know they can't make it and then they talk about at the meetings how MK talked about Believing in Miracles and then...................... in June 31st they probably end up with a quarter of what the goal started and they put on their unitnet website "WE DID IT"..... I think is hilarious, my ex director used to do that.....
Crazy!!

I was thinking more they make these huge goals (funny you said Million Dollar because my director just got back from Seminar and suddenly she's out to the a Million Dollar Director when she barely did $350,000 this past year!) and then revise them later on so they can say they achieved their goals, even though they aren't close to their original goals. . . such a mess.

Actually what I always heard was, "We NEVER change our goals, just the deadline." Laughing hysterically, cause I rather liked that one.

Hi, I am new....and still worried about being "found out".....but I have been in MK for 5 years, and have always hated it...but I stayed in because I was good, and I always had good sales (average facials around 200) BUT I hated every minute of it. I hated talking to people about MK in walmart or target, and sending notes to friends and family and bugging them (because I didn't want to bug strangers) and I HATE having classes!!! Thats why I always did facials, one on one was much easier for me....anyway, just wanted to post, as someone who still "does" MK, kinda, and wants to join the rants too!

Welcome Sad. Rant away. I know, it's hard. Just because you're good at something doesn't mean you have to do it. That's not a lecture, it's a reminder. I just know that I'm soooo glad I found this forum, asked some questions and realized I didn't have to feel guilty or like a failure for not wanting to be immersed in Mary Kay anymore. I like my leisure time. I work hard all day and I could NEVER relax when I was a consultant. So....I guess what I'm saying is read a while and hopefully these super women will help you make the decision you need to make. Happy reading.

Well, if you don't care about being active for anyone, then you only have to order every 11 mos to keep your ordering privilages, but it does have to be 200 min. But for me, it is a moot point. I am already sending things back, after reading and talking to everyone here....I am convinced that I am not the only one who has felt this way, and I don't want anything more to do with this co.
