I have wanted to send back my huge inventory to Corporate.  What has been holding me back is that then the young lady who recruited me will have to pay back those commissions to MK.  (Which by the way, I think is a very rotten deal for anyone who has recruited FOR MK!!)  This young lady is just that... young... has small children... not a big income... I just can't 'make' her pay back commissions she's earned from my stupid purchases!  This is why I've been selling at a discount to people and on e-bay. 

Just wondering if others have felt this same way about NOT returning inventory???  Any thoughts or advice to this Newbie?

 

It's not personal, it's business.  Do what you need to do to regain your financial stability.  You are not required to look out for (or bear the burden of) her financial well-being.

She will get charged-back, yes.  But the Company will take it out of her commissions and put her on a payment plan if necessary.

You might want to let her know up front your intention to return product, so she can calculate what the chargeback will be and plan in advance for it.  That might help ease her burden a little bit.  It takes at least 30 days for your blue-check to arrive and I don't suspect the chargeback would occur before then (can someone who has had this happen provide a clearer timeline?)

You might also just call the company and ask them when chargebacks get processed.  Or even better, she can call and ask herself.

Remember, on airplane safety talks, they say if the cabin loses pressure, put YOUR mask on FIRST and THEN help others (ie: children).  As women, it is in our nature to want to help others before ourselves, but natural law demands that we take care of ourselves first, so that we are ABLE to help other LATER.

I understand where you girls are coming from.  It's not my Director I'm concerned about though...it's the young woman who recruited me.  She has been a family friend since she was a kid!  But I do appreciate your thoughts on all this... just good to know what others have been through and how they've handled it.
