Any of you gals who are still active please take the time to file a complaint with the
FTC online or by phone regarding the fradulent practice of inposing quotas on work
at home consultants to purchase the new Hostess Gift.
Info to file at the FTC website:  http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm
I filed my complaint by calling and going through the automated steps till I spoke
to a rep and received my Complaint Ref number plus the BBB in Dallas who gave
me the BBB site in dallas to complain about customer service(we are the TRUE
customer) The good thing about the Dallas BBB is they send each complaint to MKC
and MKC must respond in 30 days which may run right into Seminar stuff!
If you need the MK phone numbers they are available on InTouch. I use the main
number and the branch.
If you are not aware of this quota -a consultant can only purchase the Hostess
Gift if a $200 wholesale purchase is made. This started on June 16th.

Good information....I'm no longer active, but I hope all active consultants jump on this.  I would be furious.

Well, I am a month short of being able to help out with this one.  I hope all the active consultants can get something done about this!

Well -why bother sometime! This Hostess Gift is already backordered and MKC is unsure if
backorders will be filled or if this gift which is in the Look Book for the entire quarter will be
available at all. Now isn't this a great way to treat the sales force? I can't imagine trying to
even get anyone to hostess a summer class without a truly nice incentive! How many days are
we into the new ordering period -11 days?

I just had an experience where I tried to order the new robes and I was told that I had to place a $400.00 order.  I haven't ordered in a couple of months.  I'm not going to order just so I can get a hostess gift.  I've been in the business 6 months and have had enough.  Packed my inventory today to send back to MK

I LOVE how MKC dangles a carrot in frount of the consultants (like this nice robe I've been hearing about) and then "require" you to order $400.00 or more and Poof, "oops we are out of it, but thanks for your $400.00+ order"!!!!!  mad2 Hmm, planned?  mad2 You betcha' it was!  mad2
