My former director called me that they were having a MK event on motivation.  She was inviting me to go so I could see all the new stuff and to get together with the girls.  :nuke:  After giving it some thought I told my husband that I wanted to go.  Don't get me wrong here I planning to go and hand out the pink light house cards and telling them to get out.  I know that going in to the lions mouth it's a little difficult but not impossible.  What you do you think?    :matoes:

If you do, I would be prepared that they may ask you to leave the meeting.  I would be suprised if they didn't.

I think it is incredibly rude.  Would you like an active consultant to come to a Pinklighthouse meeting and hand out MK cards and try to recruit you?

Practice the Golden Rule is the best advice I have.

Rude? If I were doing it, it would be purely out of compassion and sympathy.  MK consultants come to PLH and find info no one from MK will tell them, a big welcome, and even a section for active consultants.  I haven't seen any trying to recruit any of us that are out/never were in, but what I HAVE seen is a couple (I mean that literally, there's not alot of that here) of active consultants be downright mean and rude to people who just plain don't want to keep running on the pink hamster wheel.  This site has integrity and I don't see alot of that back-and-forth here (thank goodness!).  There is a downright appalling amount of info here that women are NOT told about MK as they join and after they're in - I say appalling b/c it's appalling to me that MK lies by omission in the great amount that they do.  I think it's fantastic that there is a place like this for people to come and find out the whole story, find out all their options, whether they choose to stay in or get out.  I think MK should be upfront about all this in the first place, and if they were, zaid woudln't have to go hand out PLH cards to women that she first-hand knows have been told these lies.

I do not intend to get into an argument over what MK corporate is responsible for, except to say that if one reads the back of the agreement and spends some time on In Touch or calls the company, they can find whatever they need to know.

That said, I have no problem with this site at all.  I am a long-time consultant who has a large, active business and I'm here for a variety of reasons.  What I said above is nothing like what you said.  I did not say there were people here trying to recruit anyone.  I said IF someone did, ya'll would think it rude and inappropriate.  It is the same the other way too.

I think there is a way to edit a comment but I don't know how.  But I would like to add to the end of my comment above:  "and it would be."

I'm not really into arguments either - just making a counterpoint discussion.  That being said, the back of the agreement does not spell out the terms for sending one's inventory back and that that can be done at any point in one's MK subscription.  Neither it nor InTouch list MK's repurchase dept. phone # (as of July 2007 anyhow, and I've read that phone # is now disconnected too), and that coupled w/ the lies of omission that Director's constantly feed their consultants brings a need for the lies to be dispelled.  The inventory return thing is just one example, but a good one, b/c when women don't know they have that option, they keep "trying to make it work", but it ends up digging into their wallets all the more and usually fails.  Hence my point: Zaid's actions are not rude and inappropriate; they are much needed & compassionate.  It all depends on how you look at it.  From some fancy etiquette standpoint perhaps it's dubbed 'uncouth', but from a raw, uncoated, lay-it-all-out standpoint, all she's doing is letting these women have a way to find out what is NOT made available to them while stuck in the pink fog.  Most consultants don't even know what questions to ask to find the truth were they to call MK for it.  They don't even know many options exist b/c it's kept from them.  When they ask alot of questions to SD's they get scripted lines basically telling them to shut up and quit thinking so much - a SD here said as much to me when I had questions about the total expenses vs. income of the "business".

By the way, I should add, I dont' say any of this with any anger or hostility - words on a screen can make it hard to read a person's tone or personality.  Don't mean any hard feelings or anything!  Love
