Back to it! Determination!

« on: January 05, 2008, 11:35:39 PM »

I was just Reading some of the underhanded things that directors do and for some reason I remembered this.

Do you remember back in the Spring of 2003 I think it was, MK had those Velocity Lip glosses that they recalled, because they molded. I remember, I called MK and they told me to destroy the lip gloss by releasing all of the gloss out of the applicator and then they sent me replacements of the regular line of lip gloss.   Anyway, MK told ALL consultants and directors to destroy these lip glosses.

Hmm, my director thought nah, I know what I will do, I will give them to guests as a THANK YOU for coming to our weekly meeting. No one in my unit could believe that I had actually destroyed mine  :wtf: Some of the consultants continued to sell them!  :wtf: Am I an idiot? I'm thinkin' KARMA!!!

Yep, that's what my  Kaybot SD taught us to do w/ old, discontinued, impossible to sell products.  She said they could be wrapped and put in the "prize basket" for whoever fills out the 5 phone #'s of other ladies on the back of profiles at SCC's, or put them into a small set as hostess gifts, or as thank-you gift to guests etc., or mix with current stuff and make big beautiful gift baskets with lots of the older items in there.

On the topic of selling moldy products, my first order ever contained eyeliner samplers that had white shere-shaped dots all over them, and I had always wondered what it was.  I did figure it was mold so just set those aside.  I didn't ask my SD about it until months later, when it was winter, and she said that the wax in them comes to the top when the delivery man leaves the stuff outside in the cold on our porches.  Well, they were delivered to me in the summer!!!

What is that classic quote from Mary Kay Ash?   "Everything you send into the life of others will come back to you......"

Is that the very best reason, we should all "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".....Oh WAIT....that's what Mary Kay's business model is based on isn't it?

Guess some of those Kaybot that sat at the feet of Mary Kay Ash, weren't listening very well!

I'm so confused!!!   Note I said confused not ENRICHED!!!

I remember those lip glosses, I got rid of them quickly in the trash can.  I would never dream of giving someone an "Oldy but Moldy" gift!

Our SD told us to give discontinued products as door prizes but not recalled products!   Sick
