Candlegirl -- I love PartyLite candles (I still use them!) and I did see a little bit of profit. I think my biggest beef with them was the fact that I had to have a party in order to place an order. I don't know if they still do it that way or not.
PC -- I suppose I was just looking for a way to make half decent money without having to put my kids in day care. But life didn't turn out that way for me. And it seems like I saved the "best" MLM for last because I can say that I finally woke up!!!

If your an active consultant, you should be able to go to Consultant order and put one in. I know that I could until I had not placed a show order in I think 3 to 6 months, not sure which one, But that was ok by me, because then I could see a paycheck, if not I would spend all my profit on the product, and there wasn't much sense in that. I only do book shows now, I hated doing parties and in home shows, Just a waste of my time and energy I'm sorry about being so blunt, but just couldn't do it no more. Candlegirl

I know someone who lives in a very rural area and does pampered chef. She has been doing it since 1999. She wins 2 vacations per year, this year it was disneyworld and a cruise. She told me she does have a downline, but that her commissions come from the sales at the individuals parties and what they order after, she is not paid (or at least not much) based on the number of people she recruits. Her husband actually quit his FT job and started his own business this year because she was doing well enough to enable him to do so. She has been very pleased with her Pampered experience. She is an outgoing person. Very funny, very attractive and a FANTASTIC cook and hostess. But she was all of those things before she ever did this, so for her it comes very naturally. hope this helps

what would really answer the question about Pampered Chef is if someone would post their compensation plan - the whole thing. So people could see how much money you make off of the downline vs. how much you make off the parties.
At best, MLM is a crapshoot as far as making money - it would be better to just play the lottery.

Have you guys heard of Monavie?? Agh! I have had a couple of people inviting me to go to a testing... I think is a wine or a juice or something.....
Help pinkcaddy or Tracy or someone.. I've been looking for some info not to join of course, but to know how is this scam or the product.. I don't want to be wasting my money on "vitamins" or "miracle juices" without knowing what kind of crap it has....

I just went to a Body Shop party last night. Sick I just couldn't BELIEVE how transparent the consultant was!!! And of COURSE she tried to get me to sign up! I used to think it was just MK that recycled scripts, but now I think it's ALL MLM'S! I think the company leaders go to a special MLM conference to make up these scripts. She was ALL ABOUT the company philosophy, really sold that big time. I think the first 10 minutes of her presentation were about it! Then when she was scoping out potential victims, she went back and forth between how she was really working for a cause- "I just know that every time I sell a body butter I'm helping another woman in Ghana." and how much money she makes, "Last week I had an $800 show- it was just so easy! I wouldn't do this if it weren't easy!" She asked me if I missed the money I made in Mary Kay, and I almost out my beer! I just said NO THANK YOU and went back into the kitchen, but not before she said, "you should do this! I know you'd be great!" What a crock! I'm so glad to be FREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! bounce

Seriously though, good for you for not giving her any encouragement. I hope she takes the hint.

I'm a bit miffed... I went to a party recently for a friend, they were kitchen products (hint, hint). I bought two things and paid way too much., typical. I specifically checked the box on the card that said that I was not interested in more information about the opportunity or in hosting a party. The consultant called and left a message on my machine saying "I see that you're interested in hosting a party! That's great!! I'll be calling you back soon to set up a date and time. ??? ??? ??? I CHECKED "NO"!!! Damnit!!! What is up with that crap?? I know what I checked and to say that I was interested when I wasn't - AAAHHHH. Oh, that makes me mad. NO MORE, I'm not going to another Pampered Crap party again or any other one for that matter!! UGH!! >:(
