is very popular in my area and it reeks of MLM big time.  Overpriced products, conventions, recruiting etc.  I just cringe when I get around any of these MLM'ers.  I give them absolutely NO encouragement.  I probably come off as a snob because I don't want them to get too close. I put up my ole defensive mechanism.

that's true.....been there, done that.    that I got caught up in the mess to begin with.  I remember several years ago, one of my classmates from high school, she and her hubby had gotten "sold" on Amway and they were trying to recruit me.  I left there and didn't speak to them again for many years (luckily, I didn't live in the area), but fortunately, our friendship outweighed the Amway thing.  I think I could now talk to them about it.  I have a suspicion that they no longer sell it because I've never ever heard another word about it  :-)   scamway!!
