After years of seeing nary an invitation to a home party, in the last two weeks I have been invited to a Southern Living at Home party and a Silpada jewelry party.  AND my friend who was my LB branch advisor sent me info about "coming back to Longaberger".

Everybody must have a new year's resolution to kick start their business or something!

PS--I went to the SLAH party and the consultant was brand new and gave 4 recruiting spiels, including the "game".  Bleh.

I ordered something.  But it was something that I really wanted, so no splat please!

If you go to the Silpada party, I'll forewarn you that it is $$$.  Some of it is pretty (if you like silver), but boy was I surprised at the prices. 

I think SLAH is the new thing.  At least it is around here.  Seems like everyone is either selling it or having a party.

It's been around here for a long time (since I live in the South).  My MIL has been selling it for about 3 years, I think the concept is about 5 years old, maybe.  I won't buy from my MIL, she doesn't give me a discount (my husbands parents are leeches--they always have their hand out for a check, so I refuse to deal with them that way just on principle).

I looked at the Silpada catalog online.  I'm more of a pearls and diamonds girl myself.  Their stuff looks like it would go with all the clothes from Chico's and Coldwater Creek and even though I'm in my 40's.....I refuse to buy anything at either of those old lady stores! LOL!
