This has nothing to do with business opportunities, but thought this was interesting....

I'm addicted to Le Tour de France, can't stop watching on OLN (I seem to have a lot of addictions!).  Anyway, they keep advertising the Tour of California and after watching the commercial about a hundred times I noticed at the end when they give the dates for next year's tour and they show all the sponsors.....one of the 6 or so named sponsors is HERBALIFE.

Gag me.

Oh brother!

I thought Herbalife had passed on into oblivion. Are people still trying to get people to sign up for that scam?

there's a class-action suit against Herbalife now - I'm sure these things take years to resolve, though. Herbalife - what a scam. :smiley

Didn't the founder of that company commit suicide not so long ago?  Or died from a heart attack....or something.  They found him dead, I do remember reading that somewhere.

My inlaws said that they used to have one couple at their church who sold it, and it was so embarrassing because they would literally harrass anybody who visited.  It was one of those prosperity christianity self-proclaimed preacher churches, so they didn't do a thing about it either.

I haven't seen a "Lose Weight Now, Ask Me How" bumper sticker for a long, long time, but then again I am sheltered because I hadn't seen a pink cadillac for about ten years either!

Herbalife is alive and well. We own a tree service and recently did some work for a distributor. The day we gave the estimate, we left with all kinds of samples and info. Also, my darling called one of those "get rich quick" businesses online. A later called telling him how much her and her husband make and wanted to send a COD package in the mail.  I told him NO WAY. I think he's starting to listen to me know. Another one saved by these boards.
