Hi everyone!
I have noticed a few issues with some of the posts on the board that need to be addressed.
1. Polls: There have been some posts where members are using the "post new poll" option when creating a new topic. Unfortunately, these "polls" aren't polls.
The poll feature is to be used when you have a concrete question and have several different options that people can choose to express their opinion on your poll question. It's not to be used to make a statement or, as one I discovered today, to fill in with jibberish, like "BHDKS" or "JDSHWI" for options.
I realize that if you are new to the board you may accidentally choose the poll option when you go to post a topic. But I'm noticing these weird poll posts from members who have made dozens of other topic posts on the board.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to delete the polls because they are attached to the post. To delete the post I have to delete the entire post, which I don't want to do. So I have locked the polls in these circumstances.
2. Run-on posts: If you are posting more than a few sentences, please break your post into paragraphs. Give us some space

When you have dozens of sentences that have no capitalization and aren't broken up into sections or paragraphs, it is EXTREMELY difficult for others to read and many times difficult to understand. Make it easy on the members here who want to hear what you have to say.
ALL members should have read the
"Basic Guidelines for Good Posts" which is under the "Help with the Forum" section. Actually, lots of important information regarding the forum is here and I consider this section required reading.
Again...this isn't a big crisis, it's just a gentle reminder. No one is going to slap your hands if you goof every so often or misspell a word. That's not the point. However, I may choose to delete posts if I think they are a problem.
Thank you!
