I have been impressed with the products they have come out with in the past few years, especially the new Mark line. I always felt like they were being innovative while MK was still stuck in blue eye shadow land.

Their new nail color looks cool. It's sheets that you peel and stick on your nails. Anyone tried it?

well, I have to live up to my reputation and be a negative nellie here.

I've tried some of the new mascaras and they really suck, but I don't know anything about the nail polish. *sigh*
It's just so much easier to go to CVS or WalMart and buy some L'Oreal, ya know?

Ack - I hate the peel and stick nail polish.  Great idea, hard to make it happen though.  First of all, I could not get the sticky nail things to go on evenly and smoothly.  And then when I did, it felt like I had tape and goo under the tip of my nails.  It was weird.  All in all, because it took me so long to get them on good and straight and smooth, I spent almost as long as I would have just polishing them with liquid.

I tried them too...they are nice but 5 bucks for one application? I'll wait for them to dry. As far as PC's mascara comment...I agree and I sell Avon. If anyone knows of good mascara please share!

Cool. Good info.

I think if you compare Avon to MK, though, that Avon wins when it comes to interesting products. Way more than MK which justs keeps rehashing things (think dual ended glosses/eyeliners...ACK!)

I love Revlon. And I LOVE going to CVS and browsing the makeup.

Love browsing, so much new stuff all the time! I bring my kids with me to the makeup aisle so they start whining and I spend less!

The mediterranian line  is nice but just stay away from the African Shea butter or get a sample. It smells terrible. The Arizona hot mud for face is great!

Thanks for the heads up on the press on nail polish - I was interested in trying it, but I think I'll wait for a new, improved version.

I've always love Lancome mascara - Definicils, I think its called - never clumpy and always made my lashes long and lush.  smiley

I'm not a huge fan of Avon's eyeshadows either. They don't go on smoothly enough, if that makes sense, I like eyeshadow to be soft. Also the mascara thing is RIGHT ON. It is not good. :-\

There was one mascara I used to buy during softball season (from one of the moms on the team!) and I really liked it, but they kept changing the packaging and I could never remember which one it was.  Now I think they've changed them all again and they don't even make that one anymore.

I always bought the same Max Factor mascara for years until it disappeared, but recently found a L'oreal formula and brush I like.  Of course I couldn't tell you what it's called, but I recognize the packaging.  Lord help me if they change it anytime soon!

I have the press on nail color. It's OK in a pinch. Avon has alot of fun stuff, flip flops, totes and trendy accessories. My teens love them.

Thats the only reason I sillkeep my status there. They have alot of cool stuff. You should see the deals we get before the customer sees the new stuff.

Lori,
Same thing here. The "What's New" deals are worth the $10 sign up fee alone!!!!

$10 sign up fee????  Oh my gosh - I'm a makeup/skin care/girly stuff addict...which is what launched me into my MK career...I could easily be launched into a closet Avon career for $10...what's the catch?
