Did anyone see that Reese Witherspoon is now going to be the new Avon global ambassador (or some dumb title like that)? Yeah... I'm sure Reese's vanity is STOCKED with all Avon products. Um hmm.

I always liked her, but it bothers me when celebs (most especially the stinking rich ones) do stuff like this to make even more money. I'd like to think I wouldn't be that opportunistic in their shoes, but who knows. Maybe when someone says "I'll give you $8 million dollars if you just say you wear goofy loo cosmetics" you can't help yourself, even if you already have a ton of money.

Well, celebrity spokespeople supposedly boost the visibility, relevancy and popularity of a brand. AVON has had many over the years: The Williams Sisters, Selma Hyek (sp)...

Mary Kay never managed to get anyone except Mary Kay Ash herself. I happen to think if they did get somone real, it might boost them in the eyes of customers and remove some of the laughing stock and old-lady cosmetics connotations.

Every makeup company (outside of MK) has someone...its stupid. I dont buy things based on who endorses them and anyone who does is silly!

Poor Reese....getting sucked into that....my motto with Avon is "you get what you pay for" so if you want a 2.00 eyeshadow, then by all means, enjoy! I hate to see her tied with that, but oh well....she is still a good actress!
