When I told her I could not do that, she had the nerve to ask me to ask the VP of if I could have health awareness presentation one day at lunch.  :gah:
I do not have a degree in health nor does she.  How can I in good faith get up in front of my work colleagues and preach about something I know very little about?

isn't it just shocking how stupid people can be when they've got dollar signs in their eyes? I would drop dead before I would embarrass myself that way at work. "health awareness presentation"?? Are you freaking KIDDING ME?

i went to a party a few weeks ago and watched the silly stupid newbee READ from the cards that Arbonne provides...actually said that the Arbonne vitamins are absorbed 100% by the body, not like those over the counter vitamins...I just looked at her with total disdain- wondering if she were mentally challenged- you must be to rely on a printed non verified pamphlet to get your info...and please don't get me started how they told me they my cosmetic company uses dead Possums to make my mascara...that they actually use road kill...like someone goes out and picks up ROAD KILL...i was ready to strangle someone and I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

Oh my God! I love the roadkill part. I just picture Estee Lauder scouring the backroads looking for a poor squirrel, maybe the GEICO squirrel.

I wanted my friend to report her but she was afraid to be put at the back of the line for pre op testing. She is so on edge as it was. I wish I was there.
I don't know where you live, but I've spent enough time working in nursing management to know that's a terminateable offense!!! In other words, she can be fired! SHOULD BE FIRED! If she loves her crap so much, perhaps she needs more time to have to peddle it. OH that makes me MAD!!!!! The patient can report it without fear of recrimination, and can do so anonymously through the hospital's administration department. If there are any repercussions from reporting this employee, the hospital can be slapped with hefty, hefty fines. (some to the tune of 100's of thousands of $$) The hospital has no desire to spend that kind of money on fines, which get nasty, media gets hungry for it, etc. That person needs to be reported so that she stops preying on people who are suffering.

I'm sure the hospital has a policy about employees soliciting patients on the hospital grounds too. It's a big no-no. I'd report her too. It would really tick me off if it happened to me.

Oh, this is the best post I've seen today.  This is so funny.  I did sell Arbonne for a short while.  I have to laugh because I remember all the talk about the almighty swiss research lab.  Wow!

HELLO
opinions that don't all sound the same!!!  Could it be I've found OZ?
I worked in retail cosmetics for 13 years,  I did love the product I sold, we never hid the fact that we were part of the huge Lauder Empire, and that we were just that....a Cosmetics company.  I did get out 3 years ago when my life and retail hours parted the way...his name was Garrison and he now keeps me more than busy.  I found this thread more than interesting because I left Cosmetics for the Healthcare industry and expected more professionalism than what I've found.  My step daughter just got signed up with Arbonne, enticed by her husband's boss's NVP Arbonne wife.  Do you think I trusted my previous experience or instincts?  I never did like Arbonne's approach to selling,  I gave the company credit that it was just the way the salesperson 'digested' the sales lingo-certainly no professional company would give their fledgling sales people a script that included an account of how animal parts are made into mascara, or that bat guano is used in mascara.  Well I would not have believed it till my stepdaughter downloaded a 'party in a bag' packet that describes what to pack to throw a home demonstation, included in the notes was the very info about how 'other cosmetic companies' formulate their products.  I love the advice I was first given by my former compensate is you should never have to bash or bad mouth another product to sell your own.  I guess Arbonne does have to use a 'fear' based approach to justify the purchase of very overpriced for the market products.
I am 'signed' as an appeasement to my step and daughter-in law, who got caught up in the frenzy that night.  So far my friends and family that I have spoken to all either have a bad taste,(apparently Arbonne people are very pushy)  or they did think the products were nice, but very pricey.
Any more info,-- :hugme: perhaps Arbonne consultants-who do it their way and can tell me some straight figure's would want to give me hope for doing a modest business with these basically OK products that if represented fairly-WOULD stand on their own,

Hi Kachina. Be sure to introduce yourself on the Introduce Yourself board so we know more about you.

Arbonne is bad new. Just a high-priced scam. There's not going to be anybody here who will tell you how to do the business "your way" because that's a losing proposition. That isn't how these businesses are structured.

And really...what's the point having a "modest" business selling "basically OK" products? Who could be excited about that?!

Arbonne is a lie and an illusion. And their products are overpriced and they continually cite lies to sell their products. Doesn't sound like anything I'd want to be associated with.
