Lynn @ Beauty Bliss is going to make us a special eye shadow color........similar to MKC's Spun Silk without so much shimmer!  I am sending her some samples of Spun Silk today.  clap clap clap Soooo................

If you are interested I recommend PM'ing her to let her know (as I do not know if she will put it in her regular line).  She uses "Lynn" as her PM addy.

Don't forget, she also mentioned that there would be a new "gentle" cleanser on her web-site as early as this weekend.

I'll keep you updated!

And remember,  :troll  giggle I always like to find a way to use that emoticon!  I think it's hysterical!  (Thanks LJ for the laughs!)

Oh, that sounds nice.  I like spun silk but think it's too shimmery (is that a word) for daytime.  Keep us updated on the progress.

I love Spun silk but agree it needs to be not too shimmery -- I am a matt girl myself.

Lynn you are the best!!!!

Me too.  And it's really hard to find true matte eye shadows.

:blowkiss  ahhh, Beauty Bliss Cosmetics ... my new obsession!  Hey, FedUp, just order away on the samples ... that's what I did!  If a certain color doesn't work for you, give it to a girlfriend who NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS STUFF!!

Sickie, thanks for getting us a "spun silk" color ... it was my MK favorite!  AND for giving us the heads up about a new cleanser ... at this rate, I should be a total BBC woman in no time!

 Cheers  Here's to a non-MK existence!!

Thats how I felt, so I just ordered like crazy. I got my stuff today, well Saturday, but I didnt go to the mailbox until this morning. Anyways, I love all the shadow colors I tried: wealth, chocolate, french vanilla, sand, and suede. all lovely! I did get 3 foundation samples, but i'm not sure if I did a good job in that dept. I got: Beige (too light), naked (too pink), and Tan (too yellow). So back to the drawing board for me.

I supposed I should email Lynn this, but how do you apply the powders? I know her site mentioned that we dont need to buff it into our skin like with Bare Minerals, so how then do I do it? Just slather it on?

Question for those that use the Beauty Bliss (cause I think Lynn is Biased!  giggle ), do you find them messy? I use glo minerals, the pressed compact, so there is no mess. I used to use Bare Minerals, and I was always spilling them, or getting some on my clothes and stuff. So, for those who have tried Beauty Bliss, please share your experiences!!!

Hi Fedupwithpink,

I'm glad you're enjoying the eyeshadow colors.  dance

To apply the foundation, just use a regular foundation brush and apply like you would your regular loose powder. There's no need to force it into your skin.

I'm surprised that Tan is too yellow. You can mix Beige and Tan and see if you get a closer color.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Sad,

It's true, loose minerals are a mess.  giggle giggle

I lay a washcloth on my vanity or counter and apply my makeup over that. Then I just fold it up. I wash it every week or so, and the minerals come right out.

The pressed powder is definitely more convenient, and if I could find a good way to make them, I would. But they use a lot of ingredients I'm not comfortable with (being an "all natural" and as pure product as I can) to help the powder bind together. I am working on it right now with a new R&D group.

I hope this helps.

What I do for the mess...

I use the old top off of my MK loose powder -- I tap some of the foundation into that, swirl and tap my fabulous brush from Lynn and then apply.  No mess on the counter!  Plus I don't lose what is in the lid, just save for the next day...

Hope this helps someone...  smiley

Hey Sickie,

Well, I've been slaving away in the lab all weekend. giggle

I've almost got it finished; it's a gentle glycerin cleansing bar that is unscented.

I'm doing some final tweaks and it should be up pretty quickly.  bighug

I keep a large extra tupperware lid (you know, the kind that has misplaced its bowl???) on my bathroom counter.  I use it like an artist's palette, and sprinkle my minerals out onto it.  That way it's easy to get the minerals well distributed on the brush for application.  It's also great for mixing colors.  Then I just toss it in the dishwasher when it's too dirty.
