I went to Lynn's site and I cannot decide if I am a "warm" or "neutral".  So...I am going to get samples of beige, bare, and naked.  I'll post my results after I receive them.  I'm also going to try a lipgloss and an eyeshadow.  (I wore ivory 200 in med coverage in MK and used Bare Escentuals/Minerals in 1.5 and 2.0)

Thanks!

 clap  clap  clap

I got my samples yesterday!  I like the BEIGE and the BARE (although it may be a little too pink for me - I will mix with beige if it is).  I love the pink corrector  - it makes me look like I actually got a decent nights sleep for a change!    giggle  So I think that BEIGE or BARE would work for someone who wore MK 200 foundation.

I also tried the eyeshadows ENVY and CANDLELIGHT.  Both are beautiful - love the shimmer!  :hearts

The foundations definitely have a different feel than bare escentuals and do not leave my face shiny like BE.  Thanks Lynn!

Hi NoCaddie,

I'm so glad you enjoy the eye colors. They are my favorite part of business.  smiley

I hope you found a foundation color that works for you. I, personally, prefer the non-shiny look. BE made me always look...almost glittery. I didn't like it, and I was 24 when I tried them, lol.

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Lynn,

I definitely think that BEIGE is very close to MK 200 med coverage - it is working great for me!!

I have gotten so many compliments on the ENVY eye shadow!  I love it!  I just ordered a sample of SAND and MYCH.  Both are gorgeous!

I shared a little bit of my envy with one of my coworkers and gave her your website info - hopefully she'll order some from you!  Thanks again for a great product!

Well I could never find a foundation shade in MK that I loved.  But I used Ivory 200 or Beige 300 and I like the BB Beige.  I have Rosacea and I have a much better shade match than when I used MK.   And I'm not clawing at my face so that's a good thing too.

I love Beauty Bliss foundations.  I've used BE and I do not like the shiny look.  I don't even like shiny cosmetic products--I prefer matte.  When I tried the BE get started kit, I ran out of the mineral veil long before I ran out of foundation, because I was trying to get rid of the shine.

I recently tried using two different Estee Lauder foundations and hated them.  I got my money back and ordered more mineral foundation from Lynn at BB.  I will never go back to using goopey liquid foundations.

Hi Iluvtoshop,

What a great testimonial!

I'm so glad you found something that didn't irritate your skin.

I tried a cream to powder tester yesterday I've been working on, and even that felt odd to me. lol

I guess I'm too used to the powders.

Take care.

after revisiting Lynn's site, I realized that the problems I incurred with the foundation was my choice of products.  She offers foundations that are free of bysmuth and mica free (how did I miss that the first time???)  So I've just placed another order for a matte foundation and finishing powder hoping I can find that perfect product that gives me the coverage I need without clogging my pores and making me itch like crazy!  Thanks to all of you for your testimonials!  I'll let you know the results in a few weeks!

I am so excited!  I just emailed with all of my different shades of eye and cheek that I used to like in MK.  Also with my foundation colors.  I'm hoping that she will email me back with some suggestions.

Do any of you use the facial bar she has?  Just wondering if it has exfoliants in it, or if that's all hype and we really don't need to exfoliate?

Thanks!

Hi Allsmiles!

Thanks for trying us out. The Gentle Cleansing Bar doesn't have exfoliants in it. It's just a great lathering bar that won't irritate or dry out skin and takes off mineral (and other) makeup like a charm.

Exfoliants are good, but I would only use them 2 times a week at most. And if you can find exfoliants that aren't crushed shells that's even better.

Here's a home exfoliant that my sensitive skin likes: 1 TBS Honey w/ 1 TBS Sugar (for dry skin) OR 1 TBS Salt (for oily skin). Mix well in your hands and apply in a circular motion to your skin. Then rinse with a washcloth or warm water.

Hope this helps!
