My director is always sending our Unit the LOOK book before we can order so we can frontload the new inventory line before the 15th and become stars.  I got mine in the mail today and smelled "Affection"  which my director Kaybot raved about being a "yummy" scent that I would just love.  Guess what.  I thought it was horrible.  My Look was sitting on my desk and my husband asked what that awful smell was.  I said "Oh that's the new perfume Affection.  His comment was it smells like something a hooker would wear.

 rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

Here's a quick story for ya:
At seminar they gave us all a new copy of the Look with that sample in it.  The first night we were there I was sitting around with a few consultants and my director, and she said, so did you smell it?  We all smelled it, looked at eachother and decided we hated it...

BUT what's hilarious is... by the end of seminar, everyone was jumping and cheering when the promo for the new fragrance came up, and then couldn't stop talking about how it was going to be so great for their sales....

This is pretty funny. My director friend told me she secretly thinks it smells awful. I smelled it and we both agreed it smelled like an old woman! Not good at all, very heavy.  giggle

Sometimes I wonder who they do their product studies with - probably the only victims that can't defend themselves - ladies in nursing homes... and I am SURE they looooove affection!!

They must get their victims from a nursing home becasue IMO all the perfume scents are horrible.

Do they still have Angelfire?

That's the only MK product I have in my house.  I have a bottle that is at least 10 years old that has never been opened.

Every time the girls (my 19 & 17 yo daughters) had a big dress up even, we would get out the shiny Angelfire powder for a little highlighting on the upper chest and shoulders, but the smell has mostly faded away, so it's just a little bit sparkly.

That powder will probably still be under my sink when I'm 90--just in case I need a little shimmer with my gown in the Ms. Nursinghome America Pageant ???

Oh Gag...I smelled the new scent this week.  I must say though that it is good that it actually has it's own smell.  I really got tired of the fact that it didn't matter if you were wearing Journey/Belara or Elige...it all just kind of smelled the same.  Boo..now when I catch a whiff of what I have dubbed "MK Potpourri" It gives me some sort of psychological response - like I'm instantly on edge, waiting for the business card to come sailing my direction. Well, I can't say that I hate the new scent, although I do agree that all of the MK scents seem to have an odd similarity--CHEAP DRUGSTORE!!!

I have to agree.  I used to wear Elige, and was sick of it by the time I was 2/3 the way through the bottle (I bought it from a relative to "support" her new business years before I entered MK myself).  Then I tried the Journey.  Again, I was sickened by it before I was 1/3 the way through the bottle.  But I paid for it, couldn't return it, and am too cheap to just throw it away.  smiley

I am so thrilled to be DONE with MK fragrances and can't wait for the next free gift with purchase series so I can go perfume shopping again.  I haven't smelled the new fragrance, but it doesn't matter. I am DONE with MK.  There are a handful of products I like.... eye makeup remover, classic oil control lotion, orig tw cleanser (the one we were all incentivized to stock up on spring/summer 2004 before they changed the formula), and that is pretty much it.

Meanwhile I am trying to some Prescriptives samples I got at Neiman's last week.  I guess you CAN "try before you buy", eh?   wink

I was waiting for SOMEONE to say that! I was told by a friend (who I had try it because it gave me a headache) that it smelled like old lady!  I HATED it up until another friend tried it at my house and oddly enough it mixed with her body chemistry and was gorgeous.  I think that she is the exception though, she's always gorgeous.

pinkdebt, that was a horrible flashback for me! I had to sing that song at our meetings once  splat only the words were a little different. I like yours though, because the small of that perfume makes me think the only affection it'll be getting is from my garbage can!
