No, really.

Is there anything useful to be gotten out of it?
In my 3 MK years, I have yet to go. Can't justify the expense of Seminar. Career conference is do-able, if useful.
However, is it all just rah-rah, or can a go-it-alone type like myself get something from it?
I'd be even more willing if I could find someone like myself to pal around with. Any chance of that?

When I was still in the fog, I LOVED seminar,  :jmp4joy: :jmp4joy: :jmp4joy: (although I never really cared for CC)!  My friends and I had so much fun sharing the room, getting away, visiting the vendors, going to the classes and banquets!  :grphugg:  To me, it was a blast, and it always filled a need as I was beginning to lose momentum.  :morning:  One big event each quarter kept me deep in the fog.   :roseglass: Then I started seeing it for what it really was...expensive emotional manipulation.  :tapfoot:  I was such a fool!!!  :kickme:

Actually my first seminar I debuted onstage as a director and that was the beginning of the end for me.  I finally started seeing all the phonyness of the women around me and all the bs made me sick.  I thought it was just me being my negetive self and frusterated for not fitting in.  Everyone there is completely in the fog, so I doubt you'll find anyone who can relate to you.  I couldn't.  Within 6 months from coming back I resigned my directorship and sent my product back. 

Career conference was very boring.  I didn't want to go because I was in 3rd month DIQ and didn't see the time away as a good idea.  The only reason why I went was because the company called and said that I was the #1 achiever in the sales challenge that they were promoting that year and invited me to a luncheon to give a speech.  Also they mentioned I was in the running for the platinum vibe they were awarding and they wanted to the winner to be there.  I went and was unimpressed and was very surprised at the behavior of my  Kaybot and her sister  Kaybot.  That's a whole other story though.  Oh and that luncheon I gave a speech at I was billed for on my taxes!!! :tapfoot: mad2

I've only been to Career Conference and found it BORING!!!!!!  :offtobed: What a joke! Too much clapping! (2 whole days worth of clapping). You sit in a room and clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap ,clap, clap etc. get the point? It did nothing for me at all!  :jarcad:

I went to one career conference only and never went to seminar.  I had done another mlm before and went to their seminar and thought it would be more of the same old junk just a different name.  I had very bad room mate luck at both and ended up with snorers and stayed awake all night.  Career conference left me uninspired, but maybe that was because I was a mom of a 1 year old and sleep deprived.   *baby  I actually thought about hiding out in the room and just trying to get 12 uninterupted hours of sleep and enjoy being away from the husband and the child.  It wouldn't have mattered that it cost me $500, because the sleep would have been more entertaining and informative than useless propaganda that was spewed at me.  I didn't teach me how to work the business any better or how to  market the products efficiently.  My  Kaybot was no where to be seen she was apparently hanging with the "big girls" and I was a pion.

I went to both and found out that they were the same bs.  :doh  Every year was the same thing.  :gah: So why bother on paying for the same information.  Have any of you girls find silly all the fuss they make around an NSD.  :fit:
