Here is an email my ex-director sent to me today:

I had a unexpected evening tonight, while I was standing in line at Wal-Mart a customer behind me was carrying our new MK Hostess Tote and was receiving a compliment on it from the woman behind her.

When she was asked where did she get it from, she said "I got it free just by hosting a GIRLS NIGHT OF BEAUTY with my Mary Kay Lady".

The customer to whom she was speaking said that she would love to have that tote. So I spoke up and said that I was a BEAUTY CONSULTANT WITH MARY KAY and would love to help her receive her own tote free. Well when I said that two more women (one onlooker and the cashier) both said that they also wanted to have a GIRLS NIGHT OF BEAUTY. I pulled out my book and scheduled all three ladies for their parties. Isn't that wonderful?!

 
That taught me two things:
 
1. I'm going to ditch my Coach Bag for the MK Tote.

2. Give my customers plenty of my business cards to pass

    on to other interested ones.

I just thought I'd share that with you.   
The tote is in our order book, page 9.                     
There are also fliers to go with it.
Order Several Today!!

Now, forgive me if i am wrong but to me that seems like this lady STOLE another MKer's potential customers. That doesn't seem to me like she was following the golden rule. Additionally, i love how the director is encouraging people to buy several totes...good grief. Thats just my  twocents

Hmmm. I would love to have your director's name.  Maybe I could send her an email through her website stating that I was an onlooker at the store and was apalled that she basically 'stole' another MK ladies potential customers!!   giggle giggle

I agree not very Go-give to me!!

I'm willing to bet that she was NOT in Walmart ... this is one of those "miracles happen" emails they are encouraged to send to the troops to keep them slogging onward.

I found it suspicious that someone with a COACH purse also shops at WALMART...i could be wrong though. But i could totally see how this could be a bs go team email...and a dirty scam to get people to buy totes. And if it is a real story, then i still think that she stole the other consultants potential customers....either way Kaybot= not cool!

It sounds like one of those stories that everyone's heard but can't find the original source.   I'm suspicious any time I receive any of those e-mails. Anything to good to be true usually is.  mad2
