You should put those up on ebay. With all the women selling off their inventories there, they would probably be a big hit!

I'm curious. My director always told us that most consultants averaged about $150 in retail per class, but *her* unit usually averaged around $300 - 400 per class. Is this a common thing directors say? If not, what do most directors tell their units about the average per class? I'm not sure that my director has ever lied to me, but...I'm beginning to think that maybe she's not as truthful as she seems...

oh this sounds strangely familiar also. Most do this, but we do this because we aren't average. Gag Sick
We either had the same director, or we've exposed another script.

You have such a way with words my dear friend PC. LOL The largest class I EVER had was one of my team members debut and it was over $700. She never had a class like that again. Probably because all of her friends who "supported" her the first time stocked up enough, and expected a discount the 2nd time around. I had events where I sold $10 and spent more prepping for it.

The problem with this thread is, even if your director really is well meaning, helpful, and seemingly honest- which mine really was and is, there is still deception there because that director is most likely in the pink fog and repeating what she's been told and trained on, and if the original "facts" aren't quite true or are twisted to sound better than reality, then you're being lied to, even if that person doesn't know they're lying to you! Isnt that what we all regret here? Realizing that we may have mislead people, even though we didn't always realize it? Thinking it really was the best opportunity? REally was #1 selling brand? Really was that easy to sell and move up? Really was not saturated? We believed it all, and passed it along during our "interviews" w/ potential recruits- so, we were passing along half or complete untruths, even if we believed them ourselves- sigh. That is what makes it all so hard. there are a l;ot of good women in mk, and there are many of them who run their businesses to the utmost ethical standards, I know some- but the facts and figures that they pass on still aren't completely true, no matter how strongly they believe in them.

there was a poll on this subject on Quatloos a while back - someone was asking if 1.) All MLMers are scam artists and criminals, or 2.) MLMers are just gullible fools
Ha ha - I said most of us were just gullible angel, but *some* of us (cough Hilari Courtney cough) are outright criminals.

Don't be embarrassed. Most of us believed our directors too at one point. Those lying, pink, helmet-headed, no-taste-in-evening-gown-buying SOBs.....

yes kathy- I never understood the problem w/ the evening gowns. Why do grown women have a hard time w/ this in MK? Why do they think they can shop in the juniors department, buy a flimsy, revealing ill-fitting dress w/ sparkles and, voila, look good? I mean, you downplay your not-so-good features, and you play up your good features- if you have, well, a large chest, why wear a flimsy strapless that you're tugging on all night? Let alone, haven't they ever heard of understated elegance? I don't even know where they get these dresses- they don't have to look like they came from your childs barbie mansion- the colors, the patterns, the ruffles, ugh! I never understood that- it's like a What Not To Wear marathon, watching all those shimmery, glittery, ruffly (sp?) fabrics trapse down the stairs and across that semianr stage--

My director told me that your classes are an average of $300 and she is pushing this 3 +3+3 thing saying that if we do this every week we will be her offspring directors, because 1 in 5 recruit so if you have a least 5 people at a class one will recruit. "It's a numbers game" She also told me that she would be available to help me get started. She was going to go with me to put out facial bowls (this was when I just started) and when the day came to do it she called and said "You're a smart girl, you'll know what to do.! Needless to say I never went out and put out facial bowls.
