Received this email a day or so ago....How sad is this??  This new mom has a  baby who she is nursing (as is recommended by EVERY pediatrician).  She has told her NSD that her baby will not take a bottle- HELLO??!! This is her NSD's solution regarding 'something she needs to think about'....HEY!! IT'S TIME TO START MAKING PLANS TO GO, AND LEAVE LITTLE ONES AT HOME...
Hmmm, how did those priorities go again???
Any moms out there who have nursed before?  What is more than likely to happen if this mom goes to seminar and she just leaves her baby, who won't take a bottle, with someone??  Chances of that baby nursing again when she gets home 4 days later are not very good....will certainly compromise her milk supply...Sorry for getting so ruffled about this >:( how dare ANYBODY doubt this mom's choices!!  Good Grief- this is her child's health...

Hello New Mothers!

who else needs this information?????  NOT ME ;0)

YOUR PERSONAL NSD thinking about YOU!

It is time to make your plans to go and little ones

Amber... is this something we need to think about......You said he did not take a bottle...

YOUR PERSONAL NSD...THINKING ABOUT YOU...

We need to be thinking about  our roommates.... and a $100 deposit...per room
I hope you can encourage your team members to go...with you... LET'S TALK
TO THEM AND PLAN THE TRIP

During Seminar, I found a company that would ship my breast milk home to my 10 week old baby.  They came to my hotel with dry ice, cooler, manifest, fed ex forms and took care of it for me.  They were great to work with.

What a heartless and discusting thing to do to a nursing mother.

The nerve! I mean does she really expect her to leave a new baby and ship the breast milk.

Can you imagine how expensive this courier service would be on a daily basis?

Of course the new mommy just needs to hold a few more classes.......BLECH.

What an insane NSD!!!!

This is almost unbelievable.

Just goes to show that the "family second" is a bunch of crap.

Truly awful -- I'm just remembering how sleep-deprived and hormonal I was when I had a 10 week-old.  My top 2 priorities became taking care of the baby and whatever sleep I could get.  All non-essential activity was expendible.  Amazingly, the world still managed without me.

wow...now I really HAVE seen it all! Can u imagine how much more expensive that makes seminar for this woman who just had a baby?

I gotta say, though, the really disgusting part for me was all the "your NSD is thinking about you" crap. Holy burp rag, yo.

Can you imagine how a little baby would behave when essentially cut off from its mother like that?  I know it's unavoidable if you end up in the hospital or something, but most mothers plan to wean over an extended amount of time.

Oh that makes seminar sound even more wonderful than it is, going with engorged breasts - ha ha.

I barely went to dinner when I was breastfeeding my newborns. I can't imagine how foggy you need to be to do this...it goes against the nature :-X!  But if this kid is going to be raised "the mk way" it better get used to playing second fiddle, so I guess the sooner the better.

OK This is really embarassing...

But I DID go to Seminar and I DID leave a nursing baby at home.

She was 10 mos old at the time, so not 10 weeks like that other lady, but still.

The mk cronies told me she would be fine for a few days, and that it would totally be worth it.

Well here I am at upyourcadillac.com less than a month later.

I pumped while I was there, and THANK GOD my supply didn't go away completely while I was gone - but it almost did!  My daughter fixed that when we got home with a 3 day nursing marathon.

I am SO ashamed. crying

Get over the shame - you're learning from it. You'll never leave your child again for a Mary Kay function, right? Right.

If nothing else, you are finally seeing through those "cronies" of yours that they didn't have you and your family's best interests at heart and they convinced you to put your family after your so-called career. If nothing else, you see through them now and will use the experience as a reminder of how important your children and family are.

Be proud of the change you are making in yourself!

Thanks for the supportive words.

I skipped my meeting for the first time in MONTHS yesterday.

I spent the time playing soccer with my family and IT WAS GREAT!

I had such a great evening.  It was like a huge weight had been lifted.
