I've been thinking about this again, ever since I watched 60 minutes a few weeks ago and they interview Clarence Thomas about his new book, and the 15th anniversary of his confirmation occurred. It became a subject in the media once again.

I always thought that she was telling the truth. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion or cared to discuss it.

I'm not sure one way or the other.  I watched the confirmation hearings all those years ago too.  *gag*

I had an experience this past week that really taught me a lesson--it's kind of related to the Thomas/Hill situation.

A woman called our school last week about checking her daughters out.  She had a... situation with her husband that involved the police removing him from the home.  When she came to check them out, she appeared to be a little more calm than you would think.  Having been there, I know how I *WAS* and she was no where near that.

The next day, we had a volunteer call for the absentee list and her daughters were on it.  The volunteer talked to the husband who was in the family home and he was surprised that the girls weren't in school.  As a result, "we" thought the woman played us.  The girls didn't show up for a week.

They came back to school Thursday, protective order in mom's hand.

It wasn't Mom who played the school, it was the dad.

The frustrating thing about it is that my nsdxh did the EXACT SAME THING all those years ago.

I couldn't believe that after my own experience with domestic violence and a jerk who can be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde that I would fall for it yet again!!!

It was a huge lesson for me in understanding why people didn't help me in my time as a result of how nsdxh acted with them....

So I really, really don't know.  She could be telling the truth.  He could be telling the truth.  Only the two of them really know.

I've always leaned towards her side.

I have to say that when I watched the 60 minutes interview with him, I liked him more than I have previously. I agree Snoop...one of them is telling the truth. Only they know for sure.
