Did anyone watch "How I Met Your Mother" last night? Britney Spears played a receptionist and was absolutely adorable! I laughed outloud a few times, she was so cute. Glad to see a positive when it comes to her!!!!

I just couldn't imagine having my WHOLE life played out to the public! I wish her the best!  :hearts

I watched too and thought she was cute.  Her hair still looked a little ratty, but she looked a million times better than we've seen her as of late - she was actually wearing a bra!  :laugh3: Hopefully we'll see more positive things from her in the months to come.

I didn't see the show but this morning on Today they showed bits and pieces and did a piece about her getting her life back together and re-inventing herself.  Today said she contacted the show, asking to do this role.  It was really nice to see some "good" news associated with her!

I didn't see the show, but I did see her part on the Today show.  I do hope that she can get her life straightened out.  It must be awful to be so in the public eye when you are having problems.

The media can be cruel in that they only show the clips or pictures that are the most sensational and may not reflect what is really going on!  My heart breaks for her and her 2 children!

Meh.  She's never impressed me too much, and I think everyone is responsible for their own choices.  You reap what you sow and all.  I feel sorry for her kids.  I never liked the sultry seductive image she portrays, even in her 1st album - it was downplayed back then w/ cutesy overtones, but little girls were listening to/watching her and the sexual undertones were unappreciated in our household, so we've always just ignored her.

Hollywood has had so many young people crash and burn like her.  Drew Barrymore comes to mind.  But she had a drug addict/alcoholic mother didn't she?

I would still like to see Miss Spears pull her life together and not be a crash and burn stat! She has every opportunity in the world...I would be a real shame if she were to let it all go!

Exactly!  She does have every opportunity in the world, it's just up to her now.  I don't mean to sound so harsh, I do wish her well as I do for everyone.

It's so sad because she has had an opportunity to have so much, and yet do so little with it.  Maybe now she realizes that and is taking steps to go forward with her life and be a mother to her children.  I hope so.

I thought Britney did a good job on HIMYM.  She was very cute

To me, Drew Barrymore is a success story.  She kicked her habits and is now doing very well.  She has her own production company and has made some really good movies.  And yes, her mom was a drug addict who dragged her to parties and gave her drugs as a little girl.

Oh ITA nynavae, Drew Barrymore is a smashing success (now)!  But she went through her very hard times so so young, it was sad to read about all that she went through.  My point was just the unique effect that the Hollywood spotlight and lifestyle has on it's young prey.

So true, RTP.  I wouldn't wish it on anyone's kid!  I remember when my niece was very small, her mother wanted to get her into modeling (she's a very beautiful girl).  Thank God she didn't ever pursue it!  I just remember thinking it was a terrible idea and hoping nothing came of it.
