I'm so unconventional - don't watch much of the local programming at all. The shows I never miss are Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel (I feel like I am being entertained and learning something) and I also like the forensic shows on Court TV (Forensic Files, The Investigators, etc.). These type of shows fuel two things that really describe who I am - a perpetual learner (I can't get enough knowledge!) and a forensic scientist at heart (if I could afford to go back to school and start over, I would definitely go in that). That second one probably helps explain why I love horror movies and mysteries so much!
Mlle ~ I am the same way. We don't have a 'TV' at our house, got rid of it almost two years ago. We get cable through the computer though and can watch things we need to or record some. We really like Overhaulin', I am working on a package right now to try to get Chip Foose to check out dh's work and maybe find a way to help us get him set up legitimately! Nothing real probably come of it but I have to try. I had a bunch of friends and family members write letters to Chip and I am sending them all together with mine!
