I, too, was guilty of telling those litte white lies to recruit........to be honest, I held less than 5 classes for myself........all else that I did was for new recruits......

Hey, you know, we all spent some time in pink purgatory here.  I think we had to believe it for a little while, and it's just making our testimony stronger here.  We REALLY know it doesn't work!   Love for you!  Be freeeeeeeeeeeeee of the guilt!  bighug

I never recruited in MK and didn't lie to anyone.  But, I knew my MK career was over when the company changed the shape of the color products from square/rect. to oval, only gave us one month's notice and put all the new stuff in the look books.  This move made my relatively new showcase and color inventory obsolete.  Since MK made their wholesale price either way, I realised that they didn't care about what I already had.  I didn't want to spend more money to replace things and be current, so I quit.

my pink  bubble burst when I started finding all of these sites one weekend.  I am now obsessed with these sites that I check them all of the time and keep finding that I will never succeed in MK.  I hate calling people, in fact I rarely answer my own phone.  I don't want to push people into making purchases or having classes and I feel awful that I have one recruit and one other wanting to join.  I never really wanted to be a team leader or anything, just wanted to get my product cheaper and stuff.  I got caught up and now want to back down but am afraid that my recruiter--who has since become a very very good friend will be upset with me.  I just need to tell her that I need to slow down.  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I thought I was smarter than this. mad3

Another very interesting post.  Wonder how many Mary Kay "Signs of Scam" there are?  Anyone have any favorites? 

When at 'sales meetings' we were told to only give the # of hours we were actually at the SCC and not the total amount of time we actually 'worked' to get the class to booked, pre-profiled, held, orders filled, etc.  Of course, if we'd done that the $ per hour, after expenses, would've been less than min wage, and who'd want to work for that?
