Did anyone see this on ebay? There was a $200,000 director diamond bar pin on there. The auction ended yesterday so I can't put a link - it's no longer there. She was selling it for $179.00. I don't think anyone bought it. I wonder if she had it appraised for that. I just thought it was sad and funny at the same time. She paid a lot to list it for that.

The sad part is that the things that supposedly meant the most as a director get you the least on ebay. It's the stupid crap that sells. I sold an old director's suit recently - paid around $400 - got $4.99. When I first quit, I sold the brand new suit for that year. I hadn't even worn it yet - I got $70 (paid $400...). This poor chick worked her butt off probably to get that bar pin and she couldn't even sell it (though the starting price was prohibitive!).

In comparison, I sold this old Mary Kay jeans jacket that I bought at Seminar one year. It's used - I wore it. I paid $20 for it. It sold on ebay for $30.

Mary Kay is even backwards after you're out!

That is so true. I sold a bunch of the quarterly prizes and made profit!! People want what they can't find, and what they could play-off as things that they won, but you can't play-off a 200,000 pin!  :1lmao:

I did wonder at why she would try and sell that - I can't imagine directors out there who want to spend $179 minimum just for a spare pin. And if you just want to look at it at home for your "goal poster", well then you've got bigger problems!

What's sad is the pin is probably worth $25 bucks, if that. Do we even know if those things are real diamonds? If they are, you know they are more like industrial-grade, crappy quality diamonds.

I have noticed alot of pins & directors prizes & gifts on ebay!!  So I wasn't suprised to hear about another MK pin on ebay.
I have become a "ebay junkie"......I need help!!     I have found LOTS of purse, pins, directors suits, MK jackets & t-shirts on ebay.  I couldn't believe it!  :rasp:   You can see alot of people listed their inventories on ebay just to get rid of it & hope they break even.  You can get some good deals on MK via ebay!!   :bliss:    I told you I need help from ebay!  It's addicting!
:pie:    This little punkin' pie guy is the best smiley guy!!  He is so funny!     :copia:
