Can anyone out there give me a break down on how much they spent on going to the leadership conference? I am getting VERY conflicting information ranging from "almost nothing" to anywhere between 750.00 and 1,000.00. I am wondering where it all goes. Thanks! Kay

Our leadership conference was held in our home town.  I spent $75 for the conference which included free full size products from the company.  It was a Friday evening and 1/2 day on Sat.  I split a hotel room with a friend which cost me about  $50.  TTL $125.00

Thanks for the quick reply, Pinkedout. I am looking at potential costs for this coming Leadership conference in SanDiego CA from Jan 14-17. We live in Austin, TX, so I am concerned with all the costs involved.

Queen333 -- I never heard of them having a Leadership Conference in  another state.  I imagine about of $1000 would be correct for California.

Our leadership conference was held in our home town.  I spent $75 for the conference which included free full size products from the company.  It was a Friday evening and 1/2 day on Sat.  I split a hotel room with a friend which cost me about  $50.  TTL $125.00

I think you are talking about Career Conference.   Much cheaper than anything else!

I went to 2 Leadership Conferences.  2004 in Nashville and 2005 in New Orleans.   Thankfully, Nashville was close enough to drive, so that wasn't a cost.   I spent 3 nights and shared a room with 3 other women.    So, I spent $250 on hotel.   I spent $8 a day to park.   For New Orleans, I spent about $200 airfare, and probably $20 in cabs.   I shared a room with 2 other women and probably apent $300 on hotel.   The rest of the costs were nearly the same on both trips.  About $100 on fast food and chain restaurant food (like Olive Garden).   Probably $50 in gas.   I spent $30 on the Area Dinner.   If you get to go to the parties, you have to pay for them.   (Isn't that ridiculous!?)   You might also need clothes, depending on the theme.  I spent about $200 in party fees and clothes.  Plus, I think registration is $175

Get out a calculator and you'll get about $850 for one conference and $1000 for the other.

What did I get out of it?   Lots of advice about putting my daughter in full time day care so I could live the dream.   Shock and awe at the amount of makeup and false hair pieces those NSDS (especially Pam Shaw) can wear.    Hardly worth the $.   Even in my mind then, while still in that pink dream, I said I wasn't getting my money's worth.   At which, my senior told me to stop being so negative.

Why did I say driving to Nashville wasn't a cost?   Of course it was - gas and parking.   Sorry!

Thank you Oceanlover, that is exactly what I am looking for!  Any of you others out there have similar experiences? No worries Pinkedout, we all have those moments! (daily for me) Thanks for all your help and support.
