My NSD has very short hair. It looks nice and I always thought it was natural...until she sent out this desperate, area-wide email screaming for this specific hair color from L'Oreal!!!!! My director said she can always tell when our NSD's hair color has been discontinued - her hair changes color just a little bit. My director cut her hair waaaaay too short one time - took quite a while for it to grow out so that it looked good again. She hasn't done that again so I think she realized the mistake. Jenn

There was a director that frequently was at our meetings that always talked about having "slammin" hair and looking great etc..and her choice was a helmet head completely covered in glitter hairspray...glitter everywhere...umm, yeah, that's professional and "slammin". She was always glittery...what did people at the grocery store think? I'm sure they weren't wishing they had her job... Slamin' hair. They must teach that lingo at director school, my "adopted" director said that allll the time.

how about "Can you get excited about....." said w/ phony enthusiasm that borders on condescending sarcasm. This over-exuberant DIQ in my area used to say that ALLLLL the time. "I just won the use of a brand new car....can you get excited about that?" Why should I be excited about YOUR car that you got for scheming and lying to unsuspecting victims?

We were told to say "Well I sure hate that for you" if you called to ask someone about holding a class and they give you an excuse ex. I need to reschedule my class because my dughter's sick with a cold." "Well, I sure hate that for you! How about me stopping by to show you and your friends some products really quick while she's sleeping."

Yeah, I always loved how "hear my heart" was usually followed by something really fake and rude, but it is ok, because it is "from the heart"......

I hate when people underestimate my intelligence. As if adding "hear my heart" will make something more believable... or like it will make me more gullable???

Do they pass around a list of "buzz words" to use at leadership or something?

How does short hair equal porfessionalism? Maybe in the early days of the women's lib movement but not today. Just look at all the TV news anchors and talk show hosts with long hair - they are professional. I never understood why Kaybots want to copy their NSD's haircut - when they do that you end up with a unit full of women lookng like baby birds on shock therapy. I've seen some pretty scary hair at Seminar and beyond - so unattractive!

Yeah....my directors hair like like, non existant! It is sooooooo short! (And there is a woman in her sister's unit who has a buzz cut. At first, I thought maybe she was going through chemo, but FIVE YEARS LATER I found out that she just likes the buzz cut, cause it is no work! Sick )

Oh my gosh...yes....this all sounds so familiar as to what all the directors must be taught....I have worn my hair short for many years but my director did say to me that if I hadn't had a compliment about my hair in a month that I should change it. And yes, how she would say "greatttt" all the time...so fake, so everytime I hear that now I cringe and I don't say that anymore...haha...Another lady who just became director would say you're a "mover and a shaker" all the time...sickening....please....... how about "Can you get excited about....." said w/ phony enthusiasm that borders on condescending sarcasm. This over-exuberant DIQ in my area used to say that ALLLLL the time. "I just won the use of a brand new car....can you get excited about that?" Why should I be excited about YOUR car that you got for scheming and lying to unsuspecting victims? so true shipnitback I heard that 1000 times. And my director is going for her Cadillac and told everyone this is your car too, I'll take everyone for a ride in it...ha....wonder if she'd let me borrow it for a fews days to go out of town.... My director wanted me to rehearse the scripts with her and I told her if I talked like that to my friends they would think I was nuts because I don't talk like that......she wasn't to happy about that..haha. Guess that's why I didn't do so well in MK because I just couldn't be fake to these people, I am who I am...and I'm happy about that.... I made the call today to get the "form" so I can return my inventory....I'm so happy, can't wait for the check so I can put it towards my credit card...

Fed Up -- I heard the same thing. If I didn't get a compliment in a month it was time for a new style. Excuse me -- a new Slammin Style. Also, there is a spreadsheet that I can send you that has been used by this group -- so you don't have to wait for the form. I called and never got mine. If you want me to send it to you -- PM me with your email address.
