Did you see a director in your area (immediate area - not NSD area) get special treatment by corp?

My director has only ever done Caddy qualifications in the 6 month time frame once - the first time she won one.  The next two times for requal. she had to take the 6 month extension.  This time, we didn't do the $48K in the 6 months so technically we shouldn't have gotten a 3 month extension....but we did.  Then we still didn't finish at the end of Sept.  So she got a "special" deal: she has to personally recruit 12 people by Dec. 31st and we have to finish production.  So she gets a whole friggin' year to finish the darn Cadillac.

She keeps saying it's because "corporate knows we're a Cadillac unit."  It's really because she and Sean Key go way back.  I know it won't make a lick of difference but I wrote a letter to corporate about playing by the rules for everyone and if they're giving away Cadillacs based on $96,000 production in a year, there are a whole lot of people waiting for their Caddies!

Anyone ever see special treatment like this first hand?

Ohhhhh....  I Love a juicy little Sean story!  Do go on and on and on....

It sucks that some directors get this special treatment -- especially since the consultants and new victims (recruits) think they have somehow earned it...   Boo Boo

We need to get some other directors in on this one. I think they might be making it easier for alot of people.

I would love to hear more stories of special treatment.  This is the only one I know of personally.

I've heard on a blog recently that Sean is the go-to man for extentions on car qualifications.

I guess this qualifies as special treatment.  The one and only trip my senior went on (to Rome) she actually was short by about 2400 retail.  She had a chargeback that she wasn't watching out for and they let her go on the trip anyway!  Sick The exception didn't bug me as much as how she preaches to people about being a woman of excellence and having integrity!

Too bad that hasn't gotten out - I'm sure some directors would be peeved.

She may have gotten the extension, but she might be making payments (probably is). When I entered my requal period for my Grand Am, I was required to qualify for the Grand Prix (not allowed to do consultant car as a director), which I didn't, and w/out asking, they extended my requalification period by 3 months, and still didn't requalify and they again extended my requalification period BUT BUT BUT - this time the letter didn't say that they were going to charge me for half of the lease payment ($175/month). They just started charging me. It's been so long, I can't quite remember the dates right, but essentially, they were willing to keep extending the requalification so I could drive around their adverstisement, but I had to pay for the thing - sort of like a "no one has to know", so if I wanted to PRETEND to be successful and have a free car, I could. And, I still had car bank left to cover what I didn't make in production, but they wouldn't use it because I was past my official requalification period (lest anyone think they were doing the extension to be nice).

So, your director may be forking over quite a bit, but is keeping it hush, hush because, well, she's got to keep on faking it till she makes it, right?

(btw - I called the day I found out they were charging me for the car and had them pick it up, which your director could do if she wanted)

She's been making payments forever - we usually do a nice Grand Prix production of about $8-10K a month.  The only month we ever make actual Caddy production is June.

Interesting that they just keep extending....

the kaybots probably argue that it's because MK cares so much and blah, blah, blah, but it's just for corp's benefit. They have you driving around in a giant advertisement for them, AND you're paying for it. Plus, while you're pretending to be successful (look at my FREE car! Gag!), it gets naive consultants motivated to "move up" and do the same.

The company only does what makes them money and benefits them. This has nothing to do with special treatment. Though, I do believe some directors get special treatment on a case by case basis. There is a director in my area who has missed production so many times, and asked for exceptions more than is allowed (I think you're only allowed one a year, but don't remember). She's still a director, and I think it mostly has to do with our Sr being a National. And, our Sr is buddy buddy with Susan Johnson (in Ruby), or at least she used to be, and she (our Sr) "takes care" of particular directors that she wants to - if you know what I mean. I saw it happen with other directors, too. The car thing again here, multiple exceptions in a year there, fake consultants to finish National area here, more cheating there... so exhausting.

I would think lying and cheating would be more exhausting than working honestly and accepting what you are able to accomplish.  ???

My director went to Disneyworld for two weeks and never told us she had an extension in July until she was home (she was here for 1 meeting that month).  We only did $3K in July and that's the lowest month I've ever seen from her.

Special treatment?
Did you know that corporate asks the "nationals" if they should give a director an extension.  Yes it's true.  So if a director is smart, they will kiss their nsd  bleepme or brown nose big time. Sick

The first cadillac buyer, I mean driver in my nsd's area ALWAYS kisses her  bleepme and when you see this director's numbers, you definitely know she should NOT be a cadillac driver.  hmmm Oh well, I guess she pays for it each month. giggle

Before i was told to step down by coporate, my  bleepme nsd called me and asked if I wanted an extension,  she explained to me that corporate would ask her blah, blah. She said she really wanted me to stay as one of her directors because I was the only latina and I could translate the interviews, oh that made me mad.  And the rest is history.

Being asked to step down wqas the BEST THING EVER to happen to me, BESIDES FINDING THIS FORUM yourock

nolonger, I had no idea about that.  Thank you for the info.  Maybe that is how my ex-director has stayed for the last 2 years.  She has no unit, well a few and that's all.
