Did you get a new one this year?  I just went shopping with my 18 year old daughter.  She is not big by any stretch of the imagination, but it was painful trying to find something that looked good.  I ended up spending $90 on a bathing suit for her.  I'm pretty sure it was the only one in the store not on sale. :gah:

If you read the comic strip Cathy....she is having quite a time finding a suit this year!

I'm going to Bermuda in less than two weeks.  Guess I won't have time to lose 50 lbs. and get into that bikini! :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

I bought one this year.  I haven't worn it yet.

It was actually fairly painless and I love, love LOVE my new bathing suit!    cancan

I actually just bought one at JCPenney.  I love it, it's got a cute skirt and tummy control.  I always take advantage of the back to the receipt and do the survey.  This way I can print a 15% coupon and with all the sales going on that day plus my coupon I paid $45 for my suit! :stars:

I bought 1 at Kohl's.  It was a Nike tankini.

I had to buy one!  I thought that my "normal" fat girl suit would fit since it was a little big in the belly and boob area... My DH had to help me pull it off!
So I got one at Motherhood that is just a tankini, but it still has tags attached.  I am so freakin fat right now I just know that one of those skinny preggos will be wearing their old bikini with their new belly when I decide to show up with all my cellulite!   :bafraid:

Nice bathing suit Snoopy Laura!

Everyone seems to be looking for a swimsuit and looking for one that is made for their respective body type.  I saw a segment for bathing suits/swimsuits on The View last Monday when I was watching it at the gym while running on the treadmill.

All of the suits I saw looked great.  My question is "Does anyone actually SWIM in the swimsuit"?  Or are they only for laying out at the beach or by the pool or walking in those areas?  While I want to find a swimsuit that works for my body type, I want to be able to swim in it.

Help!!   :gah:

If you want to do serious swimming, you probably need to go to a sporting goods store--I bought one for my other daughter at Dick's and they had some cute ones that didn't look like they'd fall off if you actually wanted to move in it.

I never take off my coverup--I actually have a two piece I got at Marshall's a few years ago, and it has been to Maui and back with nobody actually seeing my lily white torso...the coverup is much cuter!

*sigh*

ahhh, Maui.....

Mine plans on going into the pool (eventually ocean--I hope).  I probably won't be able to swim like for exercise but at least I'll look better than I have for quite some time.

Which one did you buy scooter?

It's a black swim dress with hot pink piping.  The skirt isn't very flouncy...its like a mini mini dress so I covers my "saddlebags" pretty well! LOL

I need three bathing suits at least.. one on me.. one being washed or dried .. and one for when on vacation . Oh.. and a fourth one for ruining in chlorinated pools would not hurt.
