While out running errands yesterday, I was constantly reminded of one of my fashion pet peeves: bra straps blatantly and obviously sticking out around the straps of tank tops.

UGH!

Anyone heard of a strapless bra? What's with that? It looks terrible.

Thank you for listening  wink

I agree. However, for some reason, showing your underwear has become some sort of a trend. I mean, they make bras where the strap is the part that you would want to show (not me of course)-like, the point is to wear it under something and show it, not to mention, I like jeans w/ a slightly low rise, butt, this is getting rediculous!
Make sure your but fits within the alloted amount of fabric covering the butt area, please. Wearing pants that are too low, and cut into your hips only makes you look fat, even when you're not- it's just not flattering no matter how skinny or scarlett johansen sexy shapely you are- just isn't a good thing, and please- don't get me started on butt cleavage (why is that even a term??) and peek a boo thongs-- along the same lines as the peek a boo bra straps.

anyway- it's like those shows What not to wear, etc. I really would like to grab someone once in a while and just say, "honey, come with me, you need a makeover!!" smiley Doesn't anyone look at the Glamour do's and don'ts in the back?? peeking straps and butt cracks are always a dont! You don't want to be one of those pictures:)

I know what you mean abou the bra straps... I didn't liked strapless bra until I found a good one at Victoria Secret I had it for years is called Body by Victoria, here is the link :

http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=XB-136887&page=1&cgname=OSBRPSTPZZZ&rfnbr=2784

check it out, is a little expensive, but is well worth it... I'll recommend that you go to the store and try it on, usually their sizes are one size bigger than your normal size and I know some stores they measure you so that can have the correct size, it does makes a different... I love mine and I have it for years....

I have that one. It's so comfortable. I also have this one:

It offers the clear straps. Pricey, but so worth it.  ;D

Strapless bras are not easy to come by for 'booby-licious' women  ;D and are not always comfortable, but Victoria's Secret have the best....

amen to that--i'm a, what did you call it? booby-licious?? woman- and strapless bras are hard to find, it's hard to find one that will just stay up!!
But, I say, if you can't wear a strapless bra, your boobs are just that big, then wear a tank with slightly wider straps and wear a regular bra- seem simple enough=== oh well. It's not the biggest problem in the world today, just a pet peeve of many and kind of tacky---

Strapless bras aren't so hot for those of us on the other end of the spectrum either, but my 17 year old also got that VS bra and as she says....it's incredible!  She is flat as a pancake (we always say that between me and my two daughters, we barely have a pair to share!) and it really has made all her cute halter and spaghetti strap tops look much better this year.

Let's just all admit that there are some women who are not meant to be wearing tank tops, halter tops, and other strapless tops....

so apparently VS is the place for strapless bras? I don't love their bras personally- but I haven't tried a straples from there- I reallylike Olga, Bali and Wacoal-- we have this great, local lengerie shop and the ladies in there really know what they're doing and they will find the perfect fit bra for you--I found out I had been wearing the wrong size for years after I asked them to check my fit---you know, it was after that episode of Oprah on the topic---:) anyway, much better now that I actually know my size-

Well yeah, Tracy- I think there are. I shouldn't wear a mini skirt, so I won't- that's not the part of my body I want to emphasize---people have no idea what my thighs look like, they think I'm much slimmer than I really am, all because of how I dress- it's all an illusion really, smiley ha ha---but really, I'm telling you, I'll admit to that- not to be mean, but to say, there are things that would flatter some women so much more, no matter how tiny or curvy they are-
