And really, what shoes were you supposed to wear with those things?

I always thought a little short boot, but believe me, I saw plenty of women wearing them with those pointy flats or keds....

YUCK!

My kids had those jellies when they were little, but they really didn't like them and they made their feet soooo stinky!

I just ordered my daughter a pair of crocs with her sorority symbol on them.  She plans on wearing them in the rain, and probably no other time.  Why wear them when you can wear FLIP FLOPS!

I quit using the Aquanet when I went to my ob/gyn for a PAP test; he had a huge salon-sized can of that stuff and sprayed the slide that had the shmear on it with the Aquanet.

It made me wonder "what the heck is in that stuff that a doctor uses it to preserve cultures?"  :o

My daughters were in ballet for years, and they had to wear ringlets for the Nutcracker.  My kids always had the perfect ringlets (some kids' always looked so bad or they bought scary fake hair a la Dacia!), so finally at one of the costume meetings I had to give a hairstyling demo and give away my secret for the perfect do.....you guessed it...Aquanet.

I would take a piece of dry hair, spray the snot out of it with good old Aqu (pronounced "OCK" as we called it in HS!), put that piece on a spongy curler and voila...the perfect ringlet.  It looked better than expensive fake hair and didn't move during a three hour performance.

My hands were always so stiff and stinky, and really itchy in December....wonder why! LOL!

Omigosh!!   wave Over here!  Over here!  wave   I did that too.  We even went so far as to pin them at the bottom.  Yuck.  For someone who is 5'4" not so good a look.  LOL

Stirrup pants!   :-\

I used to live in those!  I'm so glad that I've come to my senses and now wear what looks good on me and not what is "IN".  If only I had learned those lessons 20 yrs ago!
