Yup, me too. I called it the ski slope...one side up and the other sliding w-a-y down. And lioness hair..the little area above the ear that would be teased OUT and then away from the head in some obnoxious large curly wave.

Hey....I loved my Duran/Duran boots!! Mine had fringe on the back and I'd wear my jeans tucked in with a cut off sweatshirt and a studded belt. The perfect B***hflip bangs and those huge dangly earrings....those were the days - Holy Crap - how long have I been out???? What the ??? did I just type??? faint

I, too, remember all those wonderful 80's looks (my 20 year reunion is next year). Pegging my jeans, wearing them tucked into boots (mine were a dove gray leather/suede combo) and the hair - oy vay. What makes it extra funny is I have a 16-year-old son & 13 1/2 yr-old-step-daughter who are all crazy for those looks!! My Dh & I just laugh... And I hate to say this - but I've been seeing leggings w/the big shirts & belts EVERYWHERE!!! That is just so many shades of wrong!!! I better run, I need to go and shop for my Gap boot-cuts before they're all replaced w/those awful stovepipes  |

I've totally been cracking up about the leggings and Tunics with Belts...I keep flashing back to Junior High - leggings with 3 pairs of socks (different colors) all slouched down...gadzooks...what were we thinking? Am I going to be forced to watch my daughers make my same fashion mistakes??? I will not let them have frizzy perms and mile high bangs!!!  |

Loved the boots. I had a grey pair that were suede and wore them everywhere. I never could do the big hair..my hair is too fine and thin, even with perms, but I do remember the big bangs. I would have them half-up and half-down with a ton of hair spray to hold them in place. What WERE we thinking? Leggings and big shirts..did those. Slouch socks..Yup. I ADMIT IT! I was a slave to 80's fashion craze. Of course, I was also a teenager then too. |

Well, you'll all be glad to know that I read that the straight legged jeans will surely be fad, so if you're buying them, don't spend a lot of money on them because they'll be out of style next season. This according to a wire report picked up by our paper from Glamour magazine. Whew, I was worried for a minute there.  |

Yeah, I loved the 80's !! What a great time to be a teenager! I miss it. I crack up watching "I Love The 80's" on VH1 - Great stuff!! I also think it seemed more innocent back then, or maybe we were or both.
