TUP you are hilarious! I got a small loonie sized tattoo on the inside of my right hip when I was 20....my mother saw it about three weeks after it was done and didn't talk to me for about 3 months...she was so pissed! I am however glad that it is small and you can't see it unless I show you My kids always ask what it is and I tell them followed up with "IT REALLY HURT!"

Yes, your Avatar Bikini is so cute!! Actually, I love EVERYONE'S Avatars. I think it's cool how some of you like to change them, too. Maybe Mrs. Chocoholic needs to "shop" for a summer outfit ...

I would never get one...not that I judge other's who have tatts...but I just always fast forward to when I'm 60 or 70 and the cute hummingbird on my butt has stretched to become Big Bird!!! LOL
I like to see them, though...but it's just not for me.

I'm thinking about getting a little turtle or butterfly on my hip or something, where it can always be hidden. For me, it's the thrill of having it, without the whole world seeing it. I had a navel ring that very few people knew about, but had to take it out (I was using it as an excuse to not exercise, sweat and cruches kept aggravating it, not to mention my tummy fat smashing it when I tried to do any abwork). Only one guy knew about my "little secret", he said I must be one special dweeb if that was my big rebellion. I loved looking down and seeing it. I'm still trying to pick out my tattoo. I have a mentor who's had 4 kids in 10 years, and she got her tattoo on her honeymoon, and it's just below her hip bone and still has it's shape. So I definitely think I'll put mine there.

Highly recommend close to the hip bone.....if not when or if you choose to have children it will stretch and become a blurr! I got lucky and put mine close to my hip bone and it missed getting stretched by my three pregnancies....it tends to hurt more closer to bones...or so I've heard as I've only got one close to the bone and nothing to compare it to.... Just an FYI I would never do it again! Way too painful and way too permanent....be sure you know what you want!
