Not exactly cooking but it did happen while cooking.  smiley  Does anyone know the best way to remove a chocolate stain?  I didn't realize I got chocolate buttercream on my shirt until after I had washed it.  I DID NOT dry the shirt, so hopefully I can get the last bit of the stain out.  It's a faint stain.  I put it to soak in water and Tide.

I seemed to remember someone here is a chef or a cook or works in food or something.

Thanks so much for your suggestions.

You could try Hydrogen-peroxide...not sure how it works with chocolate, but it takes blood out of anything! I've also heard "Oxy-clean" claim their product will remove wine, chocolate etc... Hope this helps or that someone else has a sure way to remove it!

Good Luck!

I'm not sure if this helps at all, but check out this website: http://home.howstuffworks.com/how-to-remove-chocolate-stains.htm

It lists directions on how to remove chocolate stains from different kinds of material - some of it looks pretty complicated, but if you really like your shirt maybe it worth deciphering these directions.   :teehee:

Also, you can check out this site: http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/content/0,21770,1131434,00.html

Good luck Ginger!

Thanks for the help everyone.  It's not my favorite shirt in the world, but I don't want to throw it out.  Know what I mean?
