I'm mostly a beer girl too. I tried a new beer last week that was good. I think it was Hoegarten (or something like that). It's a Belgium beer and supposedly Blue Moon copied it. Never had Blue Moon, so I don't know. But I'll have to get some and see. I also tried a mango wine by Florida Orange Groves Winery and it was very good.

San Antonio....just put my house up for sale. I have a couple of family members in Houston, though, so I'm sure I'll be over there, too!
San Antoinio - I Love. The housing prices are so much more reasoanble there. You are going to love it.! Oh please excuse my Pinkflower moment. I know this has nothing to do with a favoirite cocktail. I don't drink but I do love San Antonio. OK I'll myself.

I bartended for a while several years back and loved to experiment so here's a few of my customer's faves:
Bailey's Coloda
1 shot Bailey's 1 shot Malibu rum (or Parrot bay) 1/2 cup Coco Lopez (or cream of coconut) fill blender 1/3 to 1/2 full of crushed ice and blend
My husbands fave shot:
Energizer Bunny 1/2 shot Crown Royal 1/4 shot Bailey's 1/4 shot Butterscotch Schnapps (pour all in a shaker over a few ice ships and swirl gently) Strain into a shot glass and SLAM IT DOWN!

Well this is an old thread but a good one! UYC, you and I could cook together and now drink together! I'm a gin and tonic with lemon girl......it has to be Beefeater Gin too! I don't care for beer, my hubby loves dark beers, ugh....wine, well on special occasions.... But for the most part I only drink once or twice a year anyway! Not worth the calories.

I don't drink often, but one thing I really like is glogg. It's a spiced red wine spiked with vodka. We use pinot noir for ours...we've decided that since it's a little less dry, it tastes yummier! We put cinnamon sticks, star anise and cardamom for the spices, plus citrus fruits and raisins, madeira, vodka, and a little turbinado(sp) sugar. We usually serve it during the holidays. It's very festive.

I LOVE ME a Little Captain!!! On the rare occassion I drink more than a glass of wine or beer it's a nice big glass of Captain Morgan and Diet Coke with a splash of lime! Of course if it's the REALLY Rare Evening and I go all out then Tequila is involved.....

I like wine, nothing too heavy or too dry and frozen margaritas with salt! But really don't drink a lot, wasted calories!
