Hi all,
I just heard about a neat idea/technique for marinading meats....freezing your meat in the desired marinade will    get the flavours into the meat more...apparently a local chinese food restaurants secret.
If anything else sounds like a time saver to me. smiley

Has anyone ever tried this? Does it really work?

YES!!!  dh does this alot!  It works especially well if you have any citrus juice in the marinade!  Meat comes out super tender and flavorful!  You must try it!

Jypsi's right! Your meat will be soo tender and full of flavor. And if you can find 'Creole butter' in your area, you must try it as a marinade! YUMMMM!!

This is the perfect way to marinade flank or skirt steaks for homemade fajitas.
Add lime juice, a little liquid smoke and a beer to the meat and the fajitas will be so tender your toothless granny
could eat 'em!!  Yum.

So, explain this a little to me...

Do you, say, marinate the meat overnight, just in the freezer, then take it out to thaw the day you cook it?

Just trying to get the idea. Sounds great. Anyone tried this with a whole chicken?

UYC ~ this will work with just about any meat.  You can just freeze for a night or up to freeze time limits giggle It works even better if you poke the meat with a fork to help the juices get even deeper as they freeze.  Haven't tried a whole shicken yet but have done chicken pieces.  Thanks for the idea!
