I am currently on a sugar high and feeling pretty pudgy. Sick I have absolutely no self control when it comes to baked goods - none, zip, zilch, zero!

And no matter where I've gone this holiday season, I have been bombarded with white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, peanut butter fudge, pecan puffs, sugar cookies with colored icing, carrot cake, etc. I went over to my parents' house for dinner last night and encountered a whole table loaded with goodies - I ate more sweets than I did of my actual dinner! And then I came into the office this morning to find that a handful of co-workers baked more goodies and shared with the entire office. How is a girl supposed to maintain a healthy weight when behind every corner lurks a delicious piece of cake?!

I swear that I have gained 10 lbs in the past week!

Anyone else feeling my pain? Any tips on how to avoid the weight gain yet still "enjoy" the holidays? I have been trying to drink a lot of water, but somehow it doesn't taste as good as the hot cocoa I know I can have.

I really need to develop some self control!!
