For the love of cats! I just saw an Avon recruiting commercial. One woman said "for $-- you get to be the CEO of your own company."  :laugh3: I am not sure I heard the amount right, but I thought it was $12.

Geez, first Amway and now Avon. These MLMs are hungry enough to pay for TV advertising! I wonder how long it will be before MK makes a recruiting commercial. They already have their compact ad on TV. Hang on to your wallets!  :matoes:

That is so corny! It's also sad because it seems like they're preying on woman with low self-esteem.  :nope:

They prey on those who have the least amount of money to lose, filling them with hopes of "owning" their own business, earning an "executive" income and making your own work hours.   :shpwrk:

Bottom line....if it sounds so great...beware....and ask the recruiter to prove the income claims!

You're right. They were talking in the ad about how they used the money from Avon to pay their bills.

I've known a few people who did Avon. None of them recruited, just passed out catalogs. No one made a lot of money. A couple of them said if they made enough to cover their own personal makeup purchases, that was a good month. The others found it to be a pain in the butt and stopped. Geez, the stuff is pretty cheap to just buy on the website. I can't imagine joining.

Anyway.........

I sold Avon when I was 19 for extra cash so I could get my own apartment and I think I spent most of my profit on the stuff I could buy wholesale!  You'd think I would have remembered that when I joined MK!  :doh

I was handed an avon book today in a local business.  I was talking with another woman who did MK at the time.  Even when I was "working MK" I never went around town dropping off books to local businesses?   :wtf:
