Hey, has anyone gotten their money yet? I was supposed to get mine this week but my previous employer screwed up my W2. I found out after I filed so I had to file an amended tax return. I ended up owing an extra $12 and now I have to wait 4 more weeks for my money.  :gah:

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any exciting plans for their money because mine are boring.  I think I will just use it to pay bills and some of it will of course go into the gas tank.

DH and I haven't received our rebate yet - probably next week.  We might use some of the money for our vacation to Chicago but we would both really like to save as much of it as possible.  Or perhaps we'll pay down some debt...hmmm, can you tell we haven't really decided?  :teehee:

We got something similar here in Canada...anyway mine's gone to renovations and paying for the ones I've already done! And we already got ours too btw.

So sorry, not terribly exciting! But still fun for me!

We got ours today.  It's supposed to go to pay off debt and pay for new laminate flooring in our house.

Yeah almost everyone I talk to is using it for bills they already have. So I kind of wonder how much it is going to stimulate the economy. But, oh well.

Ours will put a minute dent in the bill we'll have for replacing our septic system on our 5-yr old house that wasn't built properly.  We have a million other things to fix or replace on it so no fancy upgrades like new flooring or countertops (which are also needed b/c of things having been put in wrong).  :nope:  What we actually will have to put it towards is the septic, a new garage door, one of those outdoor woodstoves (to eliminate oil heating bills), and maybe there will be enough leftover to put gutters on the house.  I don't like talking about it, it makes me mad that such a young house began acting like a 50-yr. old house after we bought it.   :nuke:

No, and I'm pissed, because I have to wait 2 weeks for them to put it in my bank because the last 2 digits of my S.S. number are on the high end. They are sending out checks and deposits according to what the last 2 digits of you S.S. number are! WTF?  :gah: :gah: :gah:

First of all, I'm going to put $100 in each of my kids' savings accounts.  (We've got 3 kids.)

Then I'm going to sit down and think hard about what to do with the remainder.  Naturally my husband wants to blow it.  I put my foot down.

I'll probably spend mine on bills....and then some more bills....then I'll look at my bills again and probably pay another one....

Did I mention I am going to apply my "stimulus rebate" on bills?   :teehee:
