So why isn't it here? Is it because I didn't mail my taxes until April 14th?
My understanding from the IRS website is that if you had your return PROCESSED before Apr 14, you would get your check or direct deposit
according to the schedule that went by the last 2 digits of your S/S.
If your return was processed after Apr 14, you would receive your direct deposit (if your refund was direct deposit) approx 6 weeks after your refund was direct deposited.
We filed ours on Apr 15 and received our refund on Apr 25. So I figured we would receive our stimulus deposit on June 6. We didn't but yesterday we got communication from the IRS saying our money should be deposited by June 13. The bad thing is that we are only getting $600, and we were hoping $1200.
Of course it also said if you hadn't received your deposit within 8 weeks of the projected date, you could call a certain number.
HOWEVER, I used Turbo Tax's Santa Barbara bank to pay the service fee because we were soooooo broke at that time. I thought we were going to get our stimulus check direct deposited because that's how we received our fund. But noooooooooo. We received an email from Turbo Tax in mid-May telling us that anyone who used that Santa Barbara bank is going to receive a paper check. Ugh. So we have to wait until after July 4 for a check in the mail.
We paid to have our taxes done, but our preparer told us he had an option with Santa Barbara Bank, where they would take money from our refund to pay for tax prep, so we went that route cause we really were short of cash.
I better call the guy who does our taxes to see if he know anything about Santa Barbara bank....we really don't need any delays!
