Yep, I was curious as to how they get their "sales" figures also.  I do know that they require IBOs to purchase products to achieve a certain amount of points per month.

Technically it's not frontloading (as in purchasing a large amount of product to begin business), but the "forced buying" still equals debt.  So I guess that the result is the same regardless of the method used.

Oh it's even worse. Amway reps are "strongly encouraged" to use Amway products for ALL their household/consumer needs. Other brands like Proctor and Gamble, etc. are seen as disloyalty bordering on treason, and you better hide them when your upline comes to visit your house. God forbid you should be caught shopping at Walmart or Costco. LOL Forget the fact that you could save
50-80% it is loyalty that counts. Remember "you are your own best customer"  :wtf:

I remember very well the "buy from your own store" mentality that was encouraged in Herbalie (not a typo).  Sure it was nice to go to my shelf and grab a can of pixie dust powder instead of going to the store (I pretty much had to consume it myself, because very few people would buy that junk). But you make no profit that way and it is a nightmare when tax time comes!

Besides, I think that ScAMWAY was behind the rumors that the symbol for Proctor and Gamble was satanic.

I rang Avon's bell, then ran away.  I lived a Herbalife LIE.  I lost weight, my senses and my dignity, but gained debt.  I disconnected Excel/VarTec Communications and I am not burping with Tupperware anymore!

Doesn't that remind you of Mary Kay... "You must use Mary Kay head to toe, how else can you tell people how wonderful our products are?"

Yep!

Like we all know, the customers in Mary Kay are the consultants.

Oh I think you're right. I forgot about that. Geez, what a desperate ploy that was.  :laugh3:

Head to toe! LOL When I signed up I even got a checksheet where you were supposed to go through and throw out all your products and replace with MK. I thought that was completely insane but now I see it was really to help me build my "qualifying order." Yeah try explaining to the husband why you are ordering $300 worth of products when there are $65 worth sitting in the bathroom garbage can.  :mato
