A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.

Sassy,

Didn't they teach that in nursing school?   :teehee:  (JK!)

I sent her an e-mail and told her I was not going to be able to make the shower so we went to lunch and visited for a while.

Need to check old inventory before I decide if I'm sending anything - she said it was a "personal bridal shower" - maybe some of the Red Tea & Fig stuff?

That was a nice way of handling it Tam!   I think the Red Tea and Fig would be great.  You are such a nice person! Love

I hear Extra Emollient Night Cream is good for diaper rash, so give her a tube of that and a pkg of Pampers or Huggies!

I love Red Tea. I used to have some Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden I think? I like that smell.

That's a good idea, Tam. But some would say that even *on trend* Mary Kay would get you uninvited!!

But you got to get something for her baby! Do you have any old Extra Emollient Night Cream, lol? (I wouldn't give her anything but I'm mean)

Where's the little angel icon with horns holding up her halo when you need her?  Guess I'll just have to say, I have no excuse except I fell prey to temptation and couldn't help myself  :csaw:

So did you send the red tea fig stuff?

Was your visit a nice one even if you chose not to attend the shower?

Sassy,  we went to lunch and I did wrap a red tea ? - whatever was lying in the back of the closet  :teehee:; we had a nice visit and as it turned out, DH was not going to be available so I did not have a sitter for the evening of the shower so I didn't have to tell a fib that I couldn't attend.  She brought pictures and told me they'd been dating a year, set up on a blind date by a lady who did her hair, not really someone she knew that well, and the guy had just moved to the area and worked with this woman's boyfriend.  She gave me an invitation to the reception, a sit down dinner (which I won't attend either :ooops:) and I received a thank you card a couple days later for the 'gift'.

I wish I remembered where she said they are honeymooning, it's a spa in Canada so you may have heard of it, but I forgot the name.  She said they'd been to Europe earlier in the year but with school starting soon and the cost of the trip, they just didn't have time to go back.  I'm glad somebody can take several weeks of vacation out of the country!  I've been trying to get to a friends house an hour away for over a year and haven't been able to work that out! :gah: :teehee:
