I am so grateful for all the blessing of life that God has given me.  I want to share with you something that I have tried to use in my life, that may help you.  The Bible tells us that all good things come from God and I was blessed to have Godly parents that raised me in a loving Christian home.  It wasn't just talked about, my parents lived it and God was the CENTER of our lives.  Praise God for that!

Now, I want to talk about gratitude.  Many times in my life when things begin to seem hopeless, no money, ex husband cheats, loss of job, illness in family, etc., God always brings a new blessing.  In those darkest times, is when we grow and become wiser, stronger.......

I have learned and try to always focus on GRATITUDE. Being grateful.  I start each day with a praise to God for the things in life I am grateful for.  The quote I heard that brings all this to simplicity is "Nothing new comes into your life, until you're grateful for what you've already got."   I heard that statement recently, but it is Biblical and I am grateful everyday.

If you want things to change, you've got to change.  Start being grateful for what you've got, even when you don't feel grateful, and watch the blessings start to flow.
Write it down, speak it and you're mind will begin to believe it and your life will change.

God bless you all, my friends.......Diane/Homer

Good advice.  I think we forget sometimes that we do have things in our lives that we are grateful for even in our darkest times and that God will sent his amazing blessings when we least expect things to happen.

Absolutely!  It's good to be reminded every once in a while that we as humans are not automatically entitled to many of the things we take for granted.

Just the fact that we can sit here and contribute to a forum via computer means that we already have more than probably 70% of the earth's population.  If you think about it, that's pretty humbling.  We have so much to be grateful for, not the least of which is meeting all of the fine people here.

Thank you so much Diane for sharing this with us.  I know that sometimes I (as most of us probably do) take my situation for granted and forget that there are so many others who don't have enough food to eat, don't have proper clothes to wear, and don't even have a bed to sleep in.   crying

My husband and I have been behind the proverbial "financial 8-ball" for years now.  More expenses than income most months, but we've been making it -- struggling, but making it.  About six months ago, I started tithing 10% of my paycheck right off the top and set it aside for my monthly offerings to my church.  (If you haven't read it yet--please read my post under "Inspirations, etc." about my children getting baptized this past Sunday--it's awesome!!)  Anyway, after starting this 10% tithing rule for myself, I have found that I CAN pay my monthly bills more comfortably now.  I could give you many examples of mysterious events that have happened to me financially over the past six months and the only thing I can attribute it to is giving to God first, and then he provides the rest.  As long as we keep Him at the #1 position, he will never forsake us.

Have a great day everyone!!!!
