I have noticed that a lot of us here have a strong faith and belief in God. (hence one of the ways we were suckered into MK) Well, I wanted to pass on the lyrics of a christian song that some of you may know and others may not.  The group is Casting Crowns and the song titile is "Praise You in this Storm"  I wanted to give you a bit more info about me before I post these words.  2 1.2 years ago, if I would have found the christian station that I now listen to, I would have thought..."OH MY GOSH!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!  NOW THESE PYSCHO RELIGIOUS FANATICS HAVE A RADIO STATION!!!  Bash"  Needless to say, I was not in church and while I believed in God & Jesus I did NOT believe in religion!  Then God showed up in our world in a big way in Nov of 2004.  (That is another long story and I won't bore you with it here.)  Anyway, after some major life changes, I discovered the radio station at the right time for ME.  This song is now one of my favorites because even though we now walk with God, He never said the path would be smooth and straight.

Now, for those of you who are stuggling with daily problems, Punked in Pink, those of you who are struggling with past issues, Done & zaid, those of you with health issues to fight (whether yours or a family member's) TGIF - Chaos, and everyone I haven't named, because I know we ALL Have demons we fight every day....here is a prayer in the form of a song for you...and you.....and you ...and YOU!

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm \
And I will lift my hands        \
For You are who You are       \
No matter where I am             \
Every tear I’ve cried                -----> Chorus
You hold in Your hand              /
You never left my side            /
And though my heart is torn   /
I will praise You in this storm /

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

chorus

My dear friends...you all mean the world to me now.  I say a prayer every day for UYC for creating this site and thank God that He guided me here.  To any of you who may not believe in God, I hope I have not offended you.  Please just see this as positive thoughts and warm wishes being sent your way.

Ok...I'm done! (well I'M not DONE I am Jypsi but I am finished!! giggle)

Thank you so much for those words.  Posting my feelings and reading your comments have made me analyze everything.  Thank you for taking the time to write the post and for having me in your thoughts.   :blowkiss

JYPSI JYPSI JPYPSI
thank you so much for the lyrics and for your story ( which mine could echo in many ways) . Although some might be uncomfortable with what you say.. as we might have been ourselves in the past.. the power of what you say can overcome any fear.
