Being a person in recovery from substance abuse (15 years clean) it is CRUCIAL for me to constantly be grateful for things.

I have this tendency to take everything for granted and holler, whine and beotch all the time.

Sometimes I have to fake it til I make it, yknow??

So, right now, even though I grit my teeth saying it, I am grateful for my job. (we are having severe issues at work right now and my moral is in the toilet)

Im grateful for my niece (her name is Zoey and shes 16 months old)

I am grateful for my car

I am grateful for my family (even though they are a huge disfunctional mess, lol)

I am grateful for my friends

I am grateful that I have brains

and to end tonights gratitude list, I am grateful for my bed that I am about to collapse in, lol

I think it is important to make a list each day of three to five things you are grateful for. It's a habit I'm trying to get into better.

Im grateful for my niece

Im grateful to have heat in my house, especially since its NEGATIVE 4 out with a windchill of -25

Im grateful to have everyone here in my life to keep me grounded smiley
