Ladies, you are all such a source of strength so I am reaching out to you for your prayers.  I suffer from suicidal depression (I do take Zoloft) but during the winter and holidays it is very hard for me.  This year I seem to be a bit more down than normal.  My health is down (recently diagnosed with metabolic syndrome x) and the season just does not seem real.  I know that I have many things to be grateful for and that life is good.  However, the overwhelming depression is beginning to get very heavy.  Please pray for me during this difficult time.  Thank you.

Oh Trapped, I hear your struggle. This time of year is so hard for me, I also suffer from depression and I tend to dwell on all the negatives of life and the people that I've lost so much more. Please know you are not alone and you have people here and in your other friends and family that care very deeply for you and want all good things to come to you. Dear Trapped. PB & J did it so well . I wish we knew how to print out her answer.
You see, TRAPPED , I experienced the same for many many years,
Prayer AND physical remedies can help.
 I look out the window often.. replaced my windows with glass that does NOT filter out light.
 Acceptance (but not givng up treatment) helps. Work on coping with and eliminating the symptons. But do not feel hopless.
I have found it helps to just accept it as "my " thing.. Like some people have allergies.. or some have spina bifida.. This is what I have.. and I expect Gofd to hel pme make it hrough. I have successfully used meds and counseling.. but the meds no longer seem necessary. I just know that for a certain amount of time I will be functioning at a much lower level. I play music CONSTANTLY.
 Fortunately I am no longer suicidal and my time in that mode was limited. So I appreciate that you are in the midst of it Trapped. ..and you would b esurprised how many strong wonderful women are in the same camp. God Bles you.

Thank you Sally for your support.  I have fought suicidal depression since I was about 11.  In 1999 I spent 9 days in a mental health ward.  I take Zoloft at a very high dose (250 mg).  The illness is very prevalent in my dad's family.  I must admit that finally deciding to send back my junk to MK has helped as well as a couple of days of sunshine.  It is only by my faith in God that I can fight the nasty gloom.

I can only begin to imagine how the emotional roller coaster of MK must have impacted your emotional well being.  I don't consider myself to be depressed and I know my MK experience did a number on me.
