Countess, this Victor sounds like he is a real slave driver...maybe he could get a job as one of the trainers on "Biggest Loser"?  It sounds like he could make Bob and Jillian look like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell!

I'm so impressed that you are sticking to this regimen...you'll have to post pictures  soon....cause the way Victor's working you...you gotta be looking good girl!!!  You are a great motivator for all of us  yourock

Here's a calorie free  Margarita to toast your success!

Hmm, well I try to get my ten minutes in everyday!  :teehee: I'm getting there! I helped my sister in law's move today....so I think that counts as a workout!  :teehee:

Then my in-laws took us out for an extravagant dinner! Yum! And I ate up all the calories I had burned!  :doh  :teehee:

But somehow I'm still down about 5 pounds, plus it's that time of month...so it's probably more like 7lbs!

I'm telling you...it's when I cut out sugar that I loose the most weight! Down with sugar! BOOO! Too darn bad that it tastes soo good!  rofl rofl    :teehee:

Lippie - He's not that bad really _ I was just trying to be entertaining.  The reason I had the hard time with the push ups is because he had me doing squats with the ball but this time with a compound move added in -  I had to do bicep curls with dumb bells on the way up and then I had to do static squats with the ball with the compound move of shoulder presses while in the squat position.  Well by the time I had finished my arms were pretty tired and then I had to do push ups.  I was doing pretty good at first but the I suddenly couldn't do anymore.   It actually was a funny scene because I just kind of flopped to the mat and said I can't do one more and we both just laughed it off.

Sassy - You are so right about the sugar.  I know I do so much better when i cut it out.  Mine is not so much the food but the drinks.   I've always heard that it is 80% diet and 20% exercise and now I really believe that.  For me no matter how much I exercise the diet has to be there to see greater improvements.

Sassy you have the diet part down and you are exercising so you have more than 80% of what's needed.

For me - exercise is much easier  to stick with so I am probably around 50% there

Lippie - speaking of the Biggest Loser -  I told Victor that  wanted a "train the trainer day" lie they do on the show.

He said we could do that but I doubt I'd have the nerve in a gym full of people. :laugh3:

Well even if you don't do it, you can dream about it while you're doing your workout and it'll give you that extra ooomph to make it through.  :teehee:

Or you could just tell him you want him to do your work out with you to see if he can do all he's dishing out.... :teehee:

Anyway between you and SSW I'm getting more motivated every day.
Thanks for posting your successes for everyone.  :loveshwr:

Aw, thanks Lippie! I "fell off the wagon" this weekend. My MIL found a bakery near where she lives that makes little bundt cakes. She brought me a chocolate chocolate chip gluten-free one, and I ate it, but it was soooooooo good, so it was worth the little cheat:) I am right back on the wagon now though  :musc: I think little moments like that are good, because you don't lose touch with reality and feel like you can't eat whatever you want. The truth is that you CAN eat what you want, but you are CHOSING not to! When I remember that, it makes me make better choices!

You're right SSW...you know it's not realistic to think that you will never have a treat, so learning how to work the treat into your plan and maybe doing a little extra exercise to compensate is really the right way to do it!
Keep up the good work...you jumped a major hurdle when you went right back to your eating plan and didn't make the excuse that you already blew it so might as well just have what you want for the rest of the day1   Good job :loveshwr:

Miss Sassy offered to help me out so I need to take her up on her sweet offer.  Lord knows I need all the help I can get and she is so wise in eating healthy and making it workable.

Eating healthy is something you learn over time! Not overnight! I still have to make choices good or bad everyday! I like what SSW said about choices...she's sooo right!

Hey Gals,   I went to my first cycling/spinning class last night.  It was actually fun.  Basically we are riding stationary bikes trying to simulate an actual bike ride.  So we increase resistance to go up hill and there are mild, medium, and difficult hills and you add resistance to get the effect.  Most of the workout is interval style.  We do straight roads with sprint bursts and then recoveries and we do up hill seated and standing.   The workout is about hour on the bike with a warm up and cool down and then a stretch afterwards.  I can't believe how fast the hour went by so  I will definitely be going back next week.  The hardest part is the seat - the seat is hard

Anyway if you all have the opportunity to attend a spinning class - go for it.

I will say that I am fortunate to have a gym at work - the membership is only $6 per pay period and it's taken out by payroll deduction.  All of the classes are free with membership and the personal trainer is so much more inexpensive than I've heard others talk about.

Hey everyone!  My coworkers and I went to our first A.B.S.  class last night - that stands for abs, back and sweat - taught by none other than - Victor.   All I can say is  "WHAT IN THE WORLD POSSESSED ME TO GO TO AN HOUR CLASS FOCUSING ON ABS"     Ok  so it doesn't seem so bad now but OMG it was torture going through it.  BTW we plan on going back next week!

What's everyone been up to in the exercise arena?

Wow Countess! That sounds good! So did it hurt to move, laugh, bend and breath today?  :teehee:

I'm still getting my 10 realistic minutes in at least every other day.....DH and I just took our 7 1/2 year old daughter for a run....she training for Track and Field! YAY! She needs to be able to do 1.5 km for her age group! She can do it easily! (Mom not so much  rofl)  She moves and runs like a lion! So very beautiful....but I'm not bias in anyway! wink :teehee:

I'm going up and down the school bus steps and up and down the school bus aisle about  25 times a day.  But it is finally getting cooler, so I am going to try to take the dogs on more walks!

I would like to join a gym and get some personal training like you, Countess...I couldn't start at your level, but anything would be a good start.  Hmmm, maybe somebody will give that to me for Christmas?
