SSW -

Is it really runny?  DS eats it with a spoon so he can't handle the really runny stuff but he eats a LOT so anything that can cut down trans fat is great!

Tam, there is usually a small bit (maybe 2 tbs) of oil on top, and I stir that into the peanut butter (or you could just pour that out). After that, it is just straight peanut butter! I used to eat it with a spoon too!

It is too high in carbs for me these days, but we give it to the dog as a special treat all the time. He loves it.

My furbabies love peanut butter!  We learned to give them their medicine dipped in peanut butter from the vet's office.  Pills go right down and no more prying their mouths open throwing the pill in and holding their mouth shut until they swallow only to find out they rolled the pill around in their mouth and when you weren't looking Spit it out!!!   :gah:

Yeah....it is pretty bad. He eats lots of chicken, cheese, peanuts, all kinds of good stuff. No "regular" dog treats for him!

SSW, I know what you mean!  Our doggies, think they are people.  They don't beg, but they sit quietly in front of you while you are eating, watching the food go from your fork to your mouth, until you feel guilty and give them a bite!

They don't eat their dog food until time to go to bed, because they want to make sure they have room for "people food" first! lol

I lost 50 pounds on Atkins 10 years ago.  Whenever I'm up 20 pounds of that I pick it up again.  It doesn't take too long.  Although I do more of a South Beach now - more veggies & berries - not high fat & low, low saturated fats.  I also try to increase fiber - works wonders for the Atkins bathroom problem.  A cousin has lost 130 lbs. on the South Beach Plan.  It took a year and she's kept it off for over a years now!!!

:teehee: I don't feel so bad now. Ike sits and waits for dinner to be over. I don't feed him from the table but he knows he will get leftovers from the plates. Whenever my brother comes over for dinner, Ike sits right by him at the table. I KNOW he feeds him when no one is looking.  :doh

Your brother sounds like my DH.  I think he feeds them from the table when I'm not looking too.  They know they areg etting something from me, when I get the knife and fork and start cutting into small pieces...they start licking their chops, because they know they are getting the bite size pieces.

I know, when I'm eating my dog stares at me and when I look at her she hurries up and looks away.

Sorry, Trixie....I  didn't acknowledge your weight loss and that of your friend.  What's even better is keeping it off!  :yays:  :goodscale: :trdmill: :pump: :lift:

:yays: Trixie!  Way to go!  Pass along cheers to your cousin too!  I have a cousin that did the surgery and lost around 100 lbs but that's a lot different than working and doing it the "old fashioned" way!

I lost 30 lbs a couple of years ago but have picked back up a few of them, GOTTA get busy and get rid of them. I just felt so much better and had more energy before I picked back up the extra lbs!

I agree that I do spend too much time worrying about my fat intake, but if I didn't, I would resort back to bad fats!{It's a mental thing}! I usually eat about 2O-3O% of my calories as fat, which is what the FDA and Heart Association says is good. Trust me for me that is low fat! I swear that I don't do the extreme low fat!!!!!!! I have been watching my carbs too!  :chef:
