I am a die-hard Weight Watchers fan, and have good luck using weight watchers to take off the baby weight each time, but I wanted to drop some weight fairly quickly for an upcoming vacation and I've been playing with the South Beach Diet...I must say it is quite amazing, I've already lost 3 pounds this week.  I'm thinking that this low-carb thing might be the way to go...I've been eating mostly eggs, vegetables and tuna fish...a somewhat stinky diet, but it's working.  Has anyone made it through all of the phases of South Beach?  I have already cheated and had a tortilla & some rice during the first phase.  Please tell me that it gets easier...

Well, I haven't tried South Beach specifically - but I did try Atkins.

It was a disaster!   :-[ 

I don't eat eggs - so breakfast was always a challenge (one can only eat so much bacon or sausage)  I like cheese,  but turkey and cheese got boring really fast.  And I hated having to give up fruit!

I think I lasted about 3 days on it before I just could not stand it anymore! 

Weight Watchers worked much better for me.  Now I'm diabetic (thanks to years of prednisone) so I have to watch my carbs and eat a little protein at every meal.

My dad did the south beach diet. It worked for him!

I personally loved atkins, and I do a modified version of it now. I eat mostly meat and veggies. I will have an apple a day for the fiber. I am down three pounds in the last 4 days, but that is along with swimming 50 laps or walking a mile every day. I am sooo serious about losing weight!
