I'm still the same, no major changes....except I'm in sugar withdrawl and I feel like crap! Headache, chills and upset tummy....Darn it, I've done this all before you'd think I'd learn that sugar is the key to the dark side! ~UGH~

I've been told that sugar withdrawl is similar to withdrawl from crack cocaine......darn good thing I've never tried crack! LOL!  crying mad2 :fit: blushing :ooops:

Sugar sucks! At least on the way out!

221/211/120 (-10)

I went to the Dr. on the 4th and my weight read 211.  I was shocked bc I thought I was 214.  When I got home I checked on my scale and I've been reading the '210' line as '215'.  So, I don't really know that I actually lost anything per se, but the number it littler this week and I'm eating a bit healthier (trying to get back on that band wagon... but I'm being drug behind it by 1 hand!).  My insulin is down though!  Yippee!  So I celebrated... with food.  :teehee:  But only for 2 days did I stray from my healty eating.

Hang in there Sassy, this too shall pass.  You can do it, just keep telling yourself it's mind over matter, or in this case, mind over tastebuds.  You are stronger than the side-effects, the cravings, etc.  It does not own you.  (just some positive self-talk for ya there)    Love

1. the number of cokes I drank -- only 2 or less per day!  So glad to get back down to this, and one is a fountain soda with ice.  Trying to wean down to one a day, and then I will make a plan.

2. the glasses of water I drank -- less coke, more water!  I drank at least 54 ounces per day -- trying to get that up a bit more as it is soooooo dry here...

3. if I took all my herbs each day -- almost...  Only missed a few!

4. if I got to bed at a decent time -- twice.  Better than before, now for four times this week.

5. the number of sweets I mowed -- only one a day!!  I would like to keep it at that, make them smaller, and then deal when I keep it there.

Am I a chicken or what?  Slowly, slowly, slowly...  smiley

TUP you are not a chicken! Small steps is the way to go! You will guarantee success this way!

Once you do get it down you may be happy to live with small increments of sugar....I usually do, but it's gotten out of hand and I need to re-take control.....

Anyway it's not about me  blushing

Soo, good luck! Looking forward to next weeks success story!

I just want to say that I love seeing what you are doing that isnt just about the  number on the scale.

I haven't weighed this week because I an finally having a period, after 4 mos, and 2 different rounds of hormones, so I dont want to know what I weigh. But I am quitting my job, and I feel like that is a really healthy decision, so that is my change this week smiley

Ugh!  Sorry ladies!!  I just realized I've been MIA for almost 2 weeks!  I haven't even stepped on the scale!  I know I may be right back where I started.

I sent my inventory back last week  :yays:  and pretty much ate all the stress associated with the anticipation of the reactions of my recruiter and drektor.

I feel a LOT better now that the pink dust has settled!

So...  I think I'll just do the best I can until Sunday, and weigh in then.

On the upside, though, I have started walking!

SSW, glad to hear that you are getting your hormones back into a normal rhythm! That's wonderful! Also sounds like you will be able to dedicate more time to creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself with quitting your job, so congratulations!

Pink Migraine, Congratulations on starting to do some walking! Every little bit helps!

I have not previously been active in this support group but I soooooo need some tips and encouragement these days!!!  I recently lost almost 30 lbs over a period of 6 months by changing my diet and exercising more.  Several months ago, I fell off the wagon and stopped exercising...then I gave in to the craving for sweets...so now, I've put back on 15 lbs!!!

I'm making it my goal to stay away from soft drinks and chocolate and drink more water.

Is coming off sugar really that hard on your body? (headaches, chills, nausea, etc.)

My stats 143/143/128

SSW, wishing you a happy period! LOL

I hope you are back on track with those dang hormones!!!!!!!!!!

I remember at the height of my drinking, I only had my periods maybe once or twice a year, it was scary. BUT, once I quit drinking they caught back up with me and now I'm normal (periods anyway).

I know getting your hormones in balance is harder than that!!!!!!!  Love

Only when you go completely cold turkey! Plus it probably didn't help that I was sick at the same time! ~UGH!~

I'm so pleased to have you as part of our little group Done, I can appreciate developing healthier lifestyle habits, loosing weight and then falling back into comfortable old bad habits...I'm right there with you!

The good news is you've done it once, you surely can do it again!

What kind of exercising works for you? dance

Thanks, ladies, for the welcome!
Sassy--Jogging 3-4 miles at least 3 times a week worked the first time...plus my energy level was WAY up during that time!!!  :bliss: I've really got to push myself to start again--I think I've been plagued by the Winter Blues...all I want to do when I get home in the evenings is lounge around.

What type exercise is working for you gals?
